Services for Preston Michael Clark, 20, Mabank, were held Jan. 15, 2010, at the Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Wes Giduck officiating. Interment followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Canton.
Clark was born May 17, 1989, in Mesquite, the son of Tammy René Cotten and Charles Dwayne Clark, and died Jan. 8, 2010, in an automobile accident near Canton.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Eddie Burt.
He was reared in the Scurry and Mabank areas and attended Scurry-Rosser public schools.
He was employed by Hatfield Restorations in Canton and enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents, daughter Breylynn Clark, Mabank; sister Heather Clark, Kemp; fiancée Reva Beedy, Mabank; grandparents Freda and Marlin Cotten, Kemp; Mike Clark, Tool; and Peggy Burt, Canton; uncle Chris Cotten; aunts Mindy Clark and Judy Cotten; nephew Christopher Ellis; niece Chelsea Ellis; numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Russell Brooks, T.J. Villalobos, Justin Marshall, Johnny Hinton, Donnie Ellis and Cody Hinson.
Services for Steven Keith Felton, 58, Tool, were held Jan. 13, 2010, at the Tool Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Felton was born Sept. 30, 1951, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Helen Lois Stover and Clarence William Felton Jr. and died Jan. 10, 2010, in the Veterans Administration North Texas Health Care System in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He proudly served in the First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and was an expert marksman.
Survivors include his brothers Scott Felton and wife Patti; Mark Felton and wife Marla; and Don Stephens; sisters Sherry Fisher and husband Roger; and Kathryn Felton.
Lois Ann Johnson
A memorial service for Lois Ann Clark Johnson, 67, Payne Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 (today), at the Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
We love you and will miss you every day.
Survivors include husband Tommy Johnson, Payne Springs; sons Daniel Clark, Miami; and Douglas Clark, Waco; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Janice Taylor.
Services for Mary “Grace” K. Adkisson, 81, Kemp, were held Jan. 15, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Tool with Bro. Ed Brennan officiating. Interment followed in the Eastlawn Memorial Park in Brownwood under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Adkisson was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Dallas County to Pauline and Robert Knight and died Jan. 13, 2010, in Gun Barrel City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Alfred Odell Adkisson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tool and the Business Women’s Association of Brownwood. She was retired from the City Tax Appraisal District of Brown City.
Survivors include her daughters Anette Pasley and husband Vernon, Wylie; Gwen Cox and husband Elton, Seven Points; grandchildren Francie Tyler, Leah Turner, Aaron Bogle, Caleb Bogle, Teresa Cox McCord and Michael Ray “Rusty” Cox; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
