Services for B.W. Bolton, 89, Kemp, were held Feb. 5, 2011, at
Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home in Kemp with the Rev. Tommy Bolton
officiating. Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
Bolton was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Texarkana, Ark., to Cora S. Hermon and
Albert W. Bolton and died Jan. 29, 2011.
Bolton served in the U.S. Army with honor.
He married the love of his life, Geneva “Gene.” The couple had three
children, twins Marsha and Barry; and Karen Jean.
Bolton was a truck driver for more than 40 years. He spent his leisure time
reading and working in his garden. He was very proud of his roses.
His greatest treasure and joy was his family. He enjoyed spending time with
his children and grandchildren.
Bolton never met a stranger and was loved by all those who knew him. He will
be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, “Gene,” daughter
Karen Jean; and son Barry Wayne Bolton.
Survivors include daughter Marsha Fowler, Balch Springs; brother Eugene
Bolton and wife Elizabeth, Tyler; granddaughter Christal Jacobs, Waxahachie;
great-granchildren Cooper and Blaine Jacobs-Gray, Logan and Callie Gray,
Ashlen and Rainey Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bolton’s name to Odyssey
VistaCare Hospice Foundation 717 N. Harwood, Suite 1500, Dallas; or Scottish

Services for Paul Gene Hickman, 70, Athens, were held Jan. 31, 2011, under
the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Hickman was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Anderson County to Ida Mae Pate and Paul
Jackson Hickman and died Jan. 29, 2011.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ann Carter Hickman, Athens; daughter
Deborah Rene Hickman Browning, Mabank; mother Ida Hickman; brother Cleo
Hickman and wife Nancy, Athens; sister Brenda Gober and husband Jerry,
Whitehouse; grandson Christopher Paul Harris; great-grandchildren Kobe and
Halle Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
