Northland offers new Invi TV showroom

GUN BARREL CITY–Northland Communications is very excited to
announce its Interactive Showroom will now be open on
Saturdays.
Northland ‘s Interactive Showroom is an inviting venue that
allows customers to experience the latest innovations in
entertainment and communication products and services.
Northland’s skilled and knowledgeable employees are readily
available to help answer questions, perform free product
demonstrations, organize and instruct educational seminars
about their products and services, and host community
events. The Interactive Showroom is an extension of
Northland’s belief in the benefit of local customer support,
face-to-face connections and on-hand experiences.
Northland has been the local communications provider in Gun
Barrel City for over 25 years. The company continues to
expand its services and develop new and innovative products
to enhance the overall communication and entertainment
experience.
Northland currently provides digital and high definition
television, high-speed Internet and home phone services to
the Gun Barrel Community.
The new Interactive Showroom’s weekly hours are 8 a.m.-5
p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesdays, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursdays through Saturdays. Northland is located at the
Sears Shopping Center in Gun Barrel City.

Consider pet adoptions for Valentine’s Day ideas

TOOL–In February, the Humane Society of Cedar of Cedar Creek
Lake will host the “My Furry Valentine” event featuring pets
in the “Lonely Hearts Club.” These pets are more than five
years old or have been at the shelter more than 60 days.
Featured dogs in the “Lonely Hearts Club” include Frances, a
10-month-old Catahoula mix who is friendly and affectionate;
Alexis, an 8-month-old white Spitz mix, good with other
dogs; Bella, a 1-year-old boxer mix, white and black which
needs to be the only dog in the family; Tosha, a 1-year-old
black and tan Doberman mix that loves people and is good
with other dogs.
These four female dogs have been spayed and adoption fee is
$75.
Featured cats in the “Lonely Hearts Club” include Olivia, a
13-year-old owner surrender, long hair fawn and white; Mr.
Hope, black and white male owner surrender; Mocha, a
chocolate Siamese mix and Holly a 1-year-old grey and white
cat.
All cats have been spayed and neutered and adoption fee is
$45.
Adoption fees include spay and neuter, vaccines, deworming,
microchip, identification tag and rabies vaccine.
The regular adoption fee for cats is $65 and $95 for dogs.
Volunteers are always needed to care for the many animals at
the shelter.
A volunteer training class about the shelter and animal care
is available for those who are interested.
