Wilma Garrett
Service for Wilma Jean Garrett, 70, of Wilmer, were held Feb. 18, 2012, at
Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel.
Garrett was born June 8, 1941, in Delta County, to Eunice Eddy (Dickerson)
and Joseph A. Lindsey and died Feb. 10, 2012.
“Mama Jean or Granny Jean” as she was affectionately called was a
family-oriented woman who loved to fish and was very straightforward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph Henry and sisters
Bernice Simmons and Faye Nabors.
Survivors include sons Charles A. Garrett and his wife, Susie, of Forney,
Larry Garrett and his wife, Denise, of Dallas, Charles Henry Garrett and his
wife, Sherri, of Canton and Jason Garrett and his wife, Lisa, of Kemp;
daughters Charlene White and her husband, Mike, of Palestine, Vickie Lynn
Garrett and Debbie Garrett, both of Wilmer; brother Joseph Allen Lindsey;
sisters Daisey and Doris Kay; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
other family and many loving friends.
