Deborah
Garner
Services for Deborah Garner, 57, Paris, were held Feb. 25, 2010, in the Baker Cemetery in
Kemp with the Rev. Jack Garland officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek
Funeral Home in Mabank.
Garner was born Aug. 14, 1952, in Dallas and died Feb. 21, 2010, in Texarkana, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paula and Jack Garner.
She was a wonderful woman and Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her son Roy Keith Garner, Payne Springs; daughters Debbie Denise Garner
and Don Wulf, Texarkana; Sherri Lynn Hocutt and husband Wade, Paris; and Kristie Wilkerson
and husband Jeremy, Texarkana; sisters Pam Carrington and her companion Cindy Gill, Paris;
Carol, Melinda and Kim; brothers Jack Garland Jr. and wife Starlyn, Katy; Andy Garland and
Victor Skoglund; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; other family members and
friends.
Pallbearers were Wade Hocutt, Clint Hocutt, Michael Clark, Shane Garner, Don Wulf and
Bryan Kimboroth. Beverly Ann Reneau
A memorial service for Beverly Ann Reneau, 76, Tool, was held March 27, 2010, at the
Providence Baptist Church in Tool with Pastor Tobey Clements officiating under the
direction of Moorhead-Epps Funeral Home of Gun Barrel City.
Reneau died Feb. 19, 2010, at the East Texas Medical Center in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elsie Trende and Frank Augustus Switzer, brother
Frank Augustus Switzer Jr., daughter Sherry Lynn Peters and stepson Richard Reneau.
She enjoyed life and loved people, saw the positive and humorous side of every situation
and could always bring a smile to your face.
She retired from Texas Instruments and was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in
Tool.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years Mearl Dee Reneau; sons Gary Peters and wife
Susan; and Scott Peters and wife Carol, Wisconsin; sister Susan Dolata and husband
Michael, N.C.; stepson Michael Reneau and wife Carlene, Texas; grandchildren Heidi Peters
Green and husband Gilbert, Wisconsin; Heather Peters, Washington; Christopher, Sofia and
Jennifer Peters, all of Wisconsin; Tammy Gibson, Texas; Scott Reneau and wife Michelle,
Texas; great-grandchildren Giovani Green, Courtney and Cheyanne Gibson and Kayle Reneau.
Louise Tompkins
Services for Louise Tompkins, 93, League City, were held Feb. 24, 2010, at the First
Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City with the Rev. Byron Jones officiating. Burial was in
Chatfield Cemetery in Chatfield under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in
Mabank.
Tompkins was born March 29, 1916, in Chatfield and died Feb. 20, 2010, in League City.
She was preceded in death by her first husband John Andrew Gaines, second husband Raymond
Kilgore and third husband Jake Tompkins, also son Forest Gaines and brother Leon Chenault.
She was a former resident of Chatfield and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gun
Barrel City.
Survivors include her daughter Donna Cobb and husband Dennis, League City; granddaughters
Renae Gaines, Pennie Hall and husband Chuck; Trena Dooly, Ginny Briones, Tammy Bruno and
husband Chad, Becky Cobb and Amber Gaines; grandsons Chris Cobb and wife Meredith, and
Andy Gaines; brother Afton Sheets and wife Billie Lou, Corsicana; 20 great-grandchildren;
other family members and many friends.
Francis Waldorf
Arrangements for Francis E. Waldorf, 93, Gun Barrel City were handled by Eubank Cedar
Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Waldorf was born Dec. 16, 1919, in Lynn, Mass. and died Feb. 16, 2010, in Gun Barrel City.
Previously of Florida, he had resided in Gun Barrel City for four years and was a veteran
of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
Survivors include his wife Betty Waldorf, Gun Barrel City; daughter Vickie Spicer, Gun
Barrel City; sons Clay Brown and Steve Hudler, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; other family
members and friends.
Joyce Ann Early
A memorial service for Joyce Ann Lincoln Early, 77, Gun Barrel City, was held Feb. 23,
2010, at the Moorhead-Epps Memorial Chapel in Gun Barrel City with the Rev. Don Chapin
officiating.
Early was born May 1, 1932, in Lima, Ohio, to Edna Koch and Alfred Lincoln and died Feb.
19, 2010.
Survivors include her sons Jeff Custer and wife Suzanne; Greg Custer and wife Cheryl;
daughters Kellie Walker and husband Corey; Shellie Bradshaw and husband Jerry; sister
Sandy Spinatti; mother Edna Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other
loving family and friends.
