Services for Margery Downing, 85, Mabank, were held March 1, 2007, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Todd Peavy officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Downing was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Mabank and died Feb. 26, 2007, in Gun Barrel City. She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. Downing and sister Pauline McKee.
Previously of Garland, she had lived in Mabank for the past 21 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mabank.
Survivors include her sons Jack Downing, Lucas; Gary Downing, Kemp; and Bob Downing, Mabank; daughter Kelly Embry, Gun Barrel City; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jack Downing, Matt Downing, Chris Hanna, Chris Stewart, Thomas Embry and Gary Downing.
Services for Roy Glover, 59, Gun Barrel City, were held March 2, 2007, at Goshen Cemetery in Eustace with the Rev. Roy Denbow officiating. Burial was under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Glover was born Dec. 10, 1947, in Dallas and died Feb. 27, 2007, in Gun Barrel City.
Previously of Dallas, Glover had lived in Gun Barrel City for 21 years and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Roddy and Seagoville Masonic Lodges.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia Ann Glover, Gun Barrel City; son Roy Lee Glover Jr., Carrolton; daughters Sherri Fontenot, Garland; and Tina Chapman, Rockwall; grandchildren Justin Chapman and Zoey Glover; sisters Janie Butcher, Eustace; Nell Denbow, Beaumont; and Kathy Kirk, Canton; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Services for Evelyn Caddell, 81, Mabank, were held March 2, 2007, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with Father Jerry Morriss officiating. Burial was in Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Caddell was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Mobile, Ala., and died Feb. 26, 2007, in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Caddell in 2000.
Previously of Dallas, she had lived in Mabank since 1975, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons Tim Caddell and wife Linda, Murphy; and Allen Caddell, Mabank; daughter Jo Trenary and husband Bill, Payne Springs; granddaughters Leah Henley and husband David; Kelli Graves and husband Todd; and Sarah Caddell; great-grandchildren Dylan Graves, Gracie Graves and Alexander Henley.
