Graveside services for Harold Lloyd Fox, 67, Dallas, were held March 2, 2007, at the Veterans National Cemetery in Dallas with the Rev. Sanchez of Ross Avenue Baptist Church officiating.
Fox was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Dallas and died Feb. 21, 2007, at his home in Dallas of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents Edith Teel Fox and Alvin Clay Fox; brothers Glenn Ray Fox and A.C. Fox; nieces Tammy Fox McCallum and Melissa Fox Duckworth, and great-nephew Justin Fox.
He cherished his family and loved the Lord. He was a member of the Ross Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters Carolyn S. Fox, Dallas; and Kathy Fox, Mabank; brother Herman Murdock Fox and wife Betty, Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Delora Fox, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Sharon Marie Glover Sipes, 43, Seven Points, were held March 6, 2007, at the Cedar Creek Bible Church with the Rev. Bob Parry officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Sipes was born Jan. 24, 1964, in Woburn, Mass., and died March 1, 2007, in Gun Barrel City.
Previously of California, she had lived in Seven Points since 1993 and was married in 1990. She had worked for Wal-Mart as an assistant manager for 12 years.
Survivors include her husband Randal G. Sipes, Seven Points; sons Dana R. Carter, Devin Alfred John Carter and Randal G. Sipes Jr. and wife Shanessa, all of Seven Points; daughters Jessie L. Carter and husband Eric, Mabank; Jamie L. Carter and husband Alex, Mesquite; Korri Rita Sipes, Seven Points; Amber Marie Soto and husband Jose, Idaho; and Crystal Louise Sipes and husband Chuck, California; grandchildren Jazmine, Sophia, Mahayla, Leah, Bailey, Aubry, Nigel and Andrew; mother Phyliss R. Glover, Boston, Mass.; brother David Glover and wife Valery, Maine; sister Karen Glover, Massachusetts; niece Amy Glover; other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers were Devin Carter, Dana Carter, Randal Sipes Jr., Eric Alejandre, Ivan Alejandre and Alex Krone.
Services for Wesley Earl Alexander, 73, Tool, were held March 5, 2007, at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Alexander was born Jan. 27, 1934, in Ardmore, Okla., to the late Bea and John Alexander and died Feb. 26, 2007. He was preceded in death by his son Jay David, brothers Johnny and Carl, and sister Martha Holsapple.
Survivors include his wife Joyce; children Mike Alexander, Russell Alexander and daughter-in-law Cyndi, Lisa Alexander, Teri and son-in-law Bill Rohm; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jimmie and Donna Alexander; brothers-in-law Claude Holsapple and brother-in-law Robert Sanders and wife Connie.
Services for Ethel Marie Smith, 94, Plano, were held March 4, 2007, at the Eubank Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with Pat Satery officiating. Interment was in Elm Grove Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
Smith was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Mabank to Connie Crosby and Lucy Mae Flowers Guinn and died Feb. 28, 2007, in Richardson.
She was a Jehovah Witness by faith and was married to Lifus Gilford Smith for 60 years before his death in 1991. She was a great cook and loved to read and hold Bible studies in her home. She liked entertaining family, especially playing 42.
Survivors include her daughters Betty L. White, Plano, and Patsy M. Jumper and husband Bill, Richardson; brother Eddie Verl Guinn, Eustace; sister Vertie Guinn, Mabank; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Jason Jumper, Ron Starnes, Roy Starnes, Troy Durrett, Mike White and Ted Jumper.
Nita Jo Rich
Services for Nita Jo Rich, 78, Mabank, were held March 5, 2007, at Old Mesquite Cemetery in Mesquite with the Rev. Brad Howard officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Rich was born April 25, 1928, in Mesquite and died March 1, 2007, in Tyler.
Previously of Dallas, she had lived in Mabank since 1979, and was of the Baptist faith. She retired as a buyer for Sears.
Survivors include her husband John Rich, Mabank; son John Morgan Rich and wife Vikki, Cedar Hill; daughter Dana Reese, DeSoto; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Moreland, Joe Moreland, Jason Moreland, Michael Rich, Mike Liviani and Paul Dodson.
Services for Randall Pherigo were held March 7, 2007, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park.
Pherigo was born July 18, 1959, in New Haven, Conn., to Ron and Sue Pherigo and died March 1, 2007, in Tyler.
Pherigo achieved his MBA at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004 and his BBA bachelor of science in biology at North Carolina State in 1993. He earned his CPA in 2005.
He was initiated into Beta Alpha PSI (National Honors Fraternity, Gamma Phi Chapter) Dec. 2, 2000.
Survivors include his mother Sue Richardson, Gun Barrel City; father Ronald Pherigo, Tulsa, Okla.; brother Jeff Pherigo, Allen; Richard Pherigo and wife Shirley, Garland; and grandmother Steffie Crim, Gun Barrel City.
