MLLFA Signups
The MLLFA will hold little league signups from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20, and from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Mabank Alternative School gymnasium.

Kiwanis Krawfish Golf Tournament
The inaugural Kiwanis Krawfish Golf Tournament will be held Monday, April 30.
The tournament will be a four-man scramble involving 15 to 20 teams.
The cost to enter is $55 per person, and will include cart fees, balls and lunch.

Carp tournament at Purtis Creek
Purtis Creek State Park will host a carp tournament Saturday, March 24. Prizes will be awarded for the largest number of carp caught, not by weight.
Pole and line will be the only method of taking carp. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Inland Fisheries, Game Wardens and State Park Staff will be involved during different aspects of the tournament with the hosting entity being the Friends of Purtis Creek.
The Friends of Purtis Creek will receive 15 percent of fees collected, and 85 percent will be used to pay out prizes.

Eustace takes control of annual Bulldog Relays

EUSTACE–The Eustace Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs took top spots at the annual Bulldog Relays track meet March 1.
The boys team tied with Mexia for first place, and the Lady Bulldogs finished in the top spot alone.
The Eustace and Mexia boys teams had 127 points, and the Lady ’Dogs had an impressive 208 points.

The Kemp Lady Yellowjackets finished fourth with 49 points, and the Mabank Lady Panthers placed sixth with 21 points. The Kemp boys placed eighth with 28 points.
In all, there were eight girls teams and 10 boys teams from schools such as Fairfield, Rice, Cross Roads, Fruitvale, Brook Hill, Trinidad, Malakoff and Brownsboro.

At the junior varsity level, the Kemp Lady Yellowjackets took the top spot at the Bulldog Relays after scoring 227 points.
The Eustace girls took second place with 140 points.
The Eustace Bulldogs JV boys won with 181 points and the Kemp Yellowjackets took fourth with 79 points.
