Buford Owen Young was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Wolf City and died March 2, 2007, in Tool.
He lived in Tool for 33 years and served as mayor and city council member. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Margie Young, Tool; son Ron Young, Tool; daughters Brenda Davis, Tyler; Gerry Conner, Trinidad; and Linda Holt, Athens; daughter-in-law Cindy Young; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services for Marie Zipperian, 79, Mabank, were held March 8, 2007, at St. Peter Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Schaller officiating. Interment was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Zipperian was born May 20, 1927, in Nacogdoches and died March 5, 2007, in Kaufman.
She had lived in Mabank for the past 22 years and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Gun Barrel City. She was a member of the Senior Ladies Club and the Red Hat Society. She was a secretary.
Survivors include husband James Zipperian, Gun Barrel City; sons Ken Zipperian, Franklin, Tenn.; and Kevin Zipperian, Pinckney, Mich.; sister Dorothy English, Gun Barrel City; two grandchildren.
Services for Kenneth A. Borden, 67, were held March 9, 2007, in the Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Elders Raleigh Burran and Troy Allen, officiating. Burial was in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Borden was born May 11, 1939, in Bono and died March 6, 2007, in Eustace. He was preceded in death by his wife Elvie Borden and sister Anita Brown.
Previously of Dallas, he had lived in Eustace for the past 15 years and was a member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church of Eustace. He was a mechanic and U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his sons Kenny and John Borden; stepdaughter Marie Custard and husband Dennis; sisters Sandra Shackleford and husband Carolton; and Coy Nix and husband Bill; brothers Joe Borden and wife Iciy and J.R. Borden; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Jennie Lue Hudson
Services for Jennie Lue Hudson, 61, Kemp, were held March 8, 2007, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp, with the Rev. James Howard officiating. Interment followed in the King Cemetery, near Kemp, in the Aley Community.
Hudson was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Dallas, to Leslie Edward and Katherine Louise (Brashear) Reynolds, and died March 5, 2007, in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Dewayne Hudson, brother W.T. Reynolds and sister Carolyn Sue Reynolds.
Survivors include her husband, Elton Hudson Sr. of Kemp; sons Elton Bert Hudson, Jr. and wife Sherry of Rockport; and Mark Anthony Hudson of Rockport; daughter Carla Renee Adams and Chris Harris of Plano; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers Leslie Edward Reynolds of Rockport, and Roger Elton Nelson Reynolds of Rockport; sisters Glenda Darlene King of Frost, Terri Dean Cagle of Frost, Katherine Ruth Fielder of Mabank, Frances Evelyn Wallace of Kemp, Theda Louise Lawson of Kemp and Rita Joyce Bell of Corsicana; along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
