Jerry Bentley
Services for Jerry Gene Bentley, 71, of Mabank, were held March 17, 2012, at the Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park with Rev. Teddy King officiating.
Bentley was born Oct. 9, 1940, in El Paso and died March 13, 2012.
He enjoyed wood working, golfing and fishing.
He was a Shriner at El Maida Shriners in El Paso and a Mason at the Elk Lodge. He worked for 38 years on the Southern Pacific Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Marva Bentley; sons Jason Bentley and fiancé Carmony Calloway of Richardson, Dr. Matthew Bentley of Gun Barrel City, Jacob Bentley and wife Michelle of Springfield, Mo., and Nathan Frantz and wife Marcela of Royse City; grandchildren Mikayla Bentley, Luke Bentley and Tristan Frantz; other family members and many friends.

Mary Morris
Services for Mary H. Morris, 75, of Kemp, were held March 13, 2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Pastor Donald Kile officiating. Interment followed at Pyle Prairie Cemetery.
Morris was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Ringold, to Leona Barnes and Roy Harbison and died March 9, 2012.
She loved her family, friends and people in general. She owned and operated The Lively Store for 27 years and thought of her customers as family.
Her hobbies included slot machines, bingo, playing piano and puzzle books.
She was an Eastern Star at the Mabank Masonic Lodge Chapter 821. She was Baptist by faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church, in Kemp, where she played the piano and organ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Hubert Morris.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca, and husband Michael of Kemp; granddaughters Christy Floyd and husband Daniel of Kemp, Brandi Norton and husband Nathan of Kemp and Kayla Smith and husband Justin of Tulsa, Okla.; grandsons Clayton Kile and wife Lacy of Kemp, Michael A. May of Kemp and Nick May of Kemp; sisters Linda Kemp, Ada Salsman, Anna Moon and Sue Morgan; brothers Luther and Robert Harbison; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces nephews, friends and family.

Jannella Hudson
Services for Jannella Ann Hudson, 70, of Seven Points, were held March 16, 2012, at the Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp. Burial followed at Baker Cemetery.
Hudson was born July 6, 1941, in Kemp, to Dolly Hayworth and Roy Henderson and died March 13, 2012, in Tyler.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Shadow.
She loved to sew, read and do crossword puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Wanda Annette Yates and sisters Margie Thompson and Opal Fivecoat.
Survivors include daughter Dora Bookman and husband Loyd of Kemp; grandchildren Robert Flanagan of Mabank, Bryan Fegin and wife Sheila of Fort Worth, Angie Evans of Mabank, Luke Evans and wife Amanda of Kemp, Tony Bookman and wife Amber of Gun Barrel City; 12 great-grandchildren.

Denny Griffin
Services for Denny Griffin, 64, of Canton, were held Feb. 21, 2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Russell officiating. Interment followed at Phalba Cemetery.
Griffin was born Jan. 29, 1948, in Dallas, to Betty Joann Mangan and Charles Lester Griffin and died peacefully Feb. 17, 2012, at his residence.
He graduated from Brian Adams High School in 1965 and worked for Southwestern Bell for 31 years.
Survivors include his wife, Deanette Griffin, of Canton; children Carla Taylor and husband Khris of Royse City, Jason Griffin and wife Kristi of Garland, LeShawn Railsback of Rockwall, Brent Railsback and Chris Spruill of Canton; grandchildren Christopher, McKenzie, Alexandria, Macie, Trevor and Carson; sisters Paula Harper and husband Lee of Murphy, LeAnn Pickett and husband Pat, Toni Gray of Mabank; brother Jay Griffin and wife Kim of Phalba; his parents of Mabank; other family members and many friends.

Jane Savage
Services for Jane Moore Cloyd Savage, 93, were held March 16, 2012, at Little Elm Cemetery under the direction of Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors.
Savage was born Sept. 3, 1818 in Caddo, Okla., to Lucy Andrews and John Burnsides Moore and died March 13, 2012.
She moved to Dallas after college, married William Howell Cloyd and had three children. She enjoyed gardening, bridge club and church. She was the executive secretary at the Baker Hotel in Dallas.
She moved to Cedar Creek Lake in 1989 and married James Savage Aug. 24, 1991. The had two children.
She was a member of the Friends of the Library, Kiwanis Club, and Cedar Creek Methodist Church.
She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chamber of Commerce and a founding member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She is preceded in death by both husbands.
Survivors include daughters Judith Savage Hutson and husband Jerry, Carol Sue Stanley, Barbara Ann Moore and husband Ernie; sons William Howell Cloyd and wife Cheryl, Leslie James Savage Jr. and wife Kathy; grandchildren Stefani Allen and husband Jerry, Sara Malina and husband Mike, Sally Guzman and husband Julio, Jonas Stanley, William Cloyd and wife Loni, Austin Cloyd, Robert Hutson and wife Angela, Carol Merka and husband Steve, Thomas Hutson and wife Pauline; and 17 great-grandchildren.
