Betty Morris
Services for Betty Louise Morris, 52, Athens, are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Morris was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Dallas and died March 14, 2009, in Athens.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons Glen Morris, Leesburg, Ga; and Thomas Wallace, Athens.

Reba Hyde
Services for Reba John Hyde, 80, Mabank, were held Feb. 27, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Mabank with the Rev. Brent Tucker officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Hyde was born April 15, 1928, in Payne Springs and died Feb. 24, 2009, in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Reznicek, father John McAllister and mother Virginia Chapel.
She was a lifetime resident of Mabank and retired as a teller from the First National Bank of Athens in 1992. She was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her husband Bernice Hyde, Mabank; son John Walter Hyde and wife Kathie, Mabank; grandchildren Chris Reznicek and wife Danielle, Keller; Courtney Tijerina and husband Erik, Mabank; Jason Reznicek, Mabank; Meghan Hyde, Waco; Brennan Popham and husband Lance, Savannah, Ga.; and Blaire Hyde, Mabank; great-grandchildren Hagen, Cooper Tijerina and Payton Popham; son-in-law Jodie Reznicek, Mabank.
Pallbearers were Jeff Dyer, Jay Dyer, Mike Hutchinson, John Mayo Chapel, Jimmy Jennings and Jerry Lee Williams.

Ora Lee Meador
Services for Ora Lee “O.L.” Meador, 91, Payne Springs, were held March 16, 2009, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Woodard officiating. Burial was in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Meador was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Picher, Okla., and died March 13, 2009, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his wife Reba Meador and grandson Bart Lee.
He had lived in the area since 1974 and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Roadway Express in Dallas.
He was an early volunteer of the Payne Springs Fire Department and a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Betty Smith Meador, Gun Barrel City; son Dennis Meador and wife Sherry, Hillsboro; stepson Dennis Smith and wife Mary, Styx; daughter Sandra Lee and husband Bob, Mt. Enterprise; stepdaughter Denise Penix, Payne Springs; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers Walter A. Meador, Joplin, Mo.; and Ralph Meador, Kansas City, Mo.

Eugenia Lorenz
Graveside services for Eugenia “Jean” Watkins Lorenz, 96, Kemp, were held March 18, 2009, at the Kemp Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Renfro officiating under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp.
Lorenz was born Oct. 8, 1912, to Alma Clay Baker and Chaillie Carnegie Watkins and died March 16, 2009, in Kemp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herman Lorenz, brothers Ben Jack Watkins and George Fite Watkins, and nephew Turney Watkins.
She attended the First United Methodist Church of Kemp. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 32 years of service and moved to Kemp, where she has lived the past 20 years.
Survivors include her sister Mary Watson, Richardson; sister-in-law Bonnie Blue McDaniel, Montgomery, Ala.; nephews Floyd Terrell Watson Jr. and wife Nancy, Richardson; William Watkins, Cypress; and Bobby Watkins, Hartselle, Ala.; niece Debbie Watkins, Austin; great-niece Elizabeth Terrell Watson, Dallas; numerous other relatives and friends.
