Renick
Services for Misty Lucille Renick, 29, Edwards, Calif., were held April 2, 2010, at the
First Assembly of God Church in Malakoff with brothers Buddy and Gene Hazell officiating.
Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Renick was born May 20, 1980, in West Covina, Calif. to Lucille Skero and C.E. Hazell and
died March 26, 2010, in Los Angeles, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a nephew Jacob Lee-Andrew Rodriguez.
She was a housewife and graduate of Malakoff High School. She was a member of the First
Assembly of God Church in Malakoff.
Survivors include her husband Joshua Renick; parents; daughters Corrine Viera Renick and
Caelyn Lee Renick; son Joshua Thomas Renick; brothers Gene Hazell and wife Debbie and
Billy Hazell; sisters Cheryl Briscoe and husband Mike, Barbara Monroe and husband Mike,
Angie Rodriguez and husband Jesse, and Natalie Hazell; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mike Monroe, Jerry Spiva, Stephen Burkhalter, Dalton Burkhalter, Daylon
Beebee, Cooper Carter and Jesse Rodriguez.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Briscoe, Joey White, Jonathan Hutchison and Billy Hazell. George Kern
A Mass of Christian Burial for George Joseph Kern, 92, Stetson, Maine, formerly of Cedar
Creek Lake, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the St. Jude Catholic
Church in Gun Barrel City, the faith community where he was a founding member and deeply
devoted.
Kern was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo. to Marie Meyers and John Kern and died
unexpectedly March 6, 2010, in Stetson, Maine with his daughter and son-in-law at his
side.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 89th Cavalry Mechanized Armored
Division, in the Battle of the Bulge, the Rhineland and the Battle of the Ardennes Forest,
where he formed strong bonds of friendship that lasted a lifetime.
When he retired from years of service to the Certified Grocers of California, he built a
retirement home at Cedar Creek Lake, living there more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 8806.
Living with his wife Virginia, he provided the background for fulfilled retirement for
decades.
His Three Harbors neighborhood and church community surrounded him with warm
and joyous companionship and opportunities for the service he loved to do.
They also encouraged and helped him to make the transition to live with his daughter in
2009, in Stetson, Maine.
Survivors include his daughter Georgia Kosciusko and husband Dennis, Stetson, Maine;
grandsons Joseph Kosciusko, Seattle, Wash. and Frank Kosciusko, Lake Tahoe, Calif.;
stepsons Teddy Owen and wife Patty, Redding, Calif.; and Ricky Owen and wife Myrna,
Independence, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church or the community food
pantry.
Freida Lee Roché
Freida Lee Roché, 78, Corsicana, was born Aug. 22, 1931, in Cabot, Ark., and died March
29, 2010, in Corsicana.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar
Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
She was a loving mother and enjoyed laughter.
Survivors include her sons Gary Robertson, Benton, Ark.; and Stephen Roché, Austin;
daughters Roché Sharon Carlson, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Deborah Roché, Austin; brother Fay
Battles, Pueblo, Colo.; sisters Bibbie Bailey, Ingram; and Anna Vee Cotterman, Little
Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; father of her children Fred B.
Roché, Payne Springs; other family members and many friends.
Terry Lee Hempton
Memorial services for Terry Lee Hempton, 58, Kemp, will be held at a later date under the
direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Hempton was born Jan. 5, 1952, in Flint, Mich., and died March 4, 2010, in Kemp.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dormalee and Russell Hempton.
He was a commercial truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Diane Hempton; daughter Talisa Berk; sons Terry E. Hempton and
Jeramie Hempton. |
