Elizabeth Ptaszek
Funeral arrangements for Elizabeth Roach Ptaszek, 56, Dallas, are
pending.
She is the daughter-in-law of Noma Bartz of Tool.
Ptaszek was born Nov. 9, 1952, in New Mexico and died April 5, 2009.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Chuck Ptaszek; sister Jackie White; and
brothers Sonny and Mike.
Fannie Paslay
Services for Fannie Gertrude Paslay, 80, Kemp, were held April 4, 2009,
at the Lake Chapel Cemetery in Fairfield with Brother Floyd Loven
officiating under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven
Points.
Paslay was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Fairfield to the late Laura Mae and
William Young Fails and died April 1, 2009, in Gun Barrel City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law David Strom and
three brothers.
She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Red Paslay; sons Eddie and wife Patty
Paslay, Quinlan; and Laney and wife Joanna Paslay, Garland; daughter
Robin Strom, Greenville; brothers Vernon and Toby Fails, both of
Fairfield; sister Linda Fails, Jacksonville; eight grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
James Webb
Services for James T. Webb, 64, Canton, were held April 8, 2009, at the
Dallas/Fort Worth Cemetery with the Rev. Lenzy Cornatzer officiating
under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Webb was born Dec. 16, 1944, in Killeen and died April 5, 2009, in
Canton.
Previously of Arlington, he had resided in Canton for the past year.
Survivors include his wife Oggie Webb, Canton; sons William Webb,
Canton; and Jerry Webb, Fort Worth; daughter Tammy Minyard and husband
Ted, Mansfield; brother Dean Webb, Killeen; and sister Sissy Cosper,
Killeen; and six grandchildren.
Willie Baumgardner
Services for Willie Lee Baumgardner, 87, Gun Barrel City, were held
April 8, 2009, at the Beacon Church of Christ in Gun Barrel City with
Ken Maddox officiating. Interment was in the Dallas/Fort Worth Cemetery
under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Baumgardner was born May 13, 1921, in Dallas to the late Leona Evelyn
and Dr. J.W. Peteet and died April 5, 2009, in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Lyndon Ellis Holt and
first husband Charles Edgar Holt.
She was a member of the Beacon Church of Christ in Gun Barrel City, the
Texas State Florist Association, West Texas; New Mexico Florist
Association and American Academy Floral Services.
She was owner-founder of Holt’s Florist in Dallas from 1947-69, did
traveling sales work for American Floral Services from 1970-76 and
founded Capt’n “B” Flowers, Gun Barrel City, in 1980, working there
until her retirement in 1999.
Survivors include her husband Carl Baumgardner, son Basil K. Holt,
grandsons Basil Holt Jr., Tony Lynn and wife Brenda Holt and Robert Kyle
Holt and wife Jennifer, great-grandsons Dakota Holt and Chance Holt,
cousins Billy Jack Hart and Cleg Hazel, and special friend Herman
Meinders.
