Alta Rocha
Graveside services for Alta Rocha, 94, Mesquite, were held April 6, 2011, at
Kemp Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Gatesville to Ida Yates and Roscoe Livingston
and died April 3, 2011, in Wills Point.
Rocha will be remembered as being a great cook for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Barney Rocha.
Survivors include daughter Geraldine Kuykendall, Mesquite; grandchildren
Vicki Jones and husband Rick, Edgewood; Debbie Jackson and husband Will;
Wills Point; Ronda Sharpless and husband Melvin; Mesquite; brother Paul
Livingston and wife Kay; Cleburne; James Livingston and wife Linda,
Greenville; sister Yvonne Jensen, Athens; seven great-great-grandchildren
and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
Nancy Bridges
Services for Nancy Ann Bridges, 54, Red Oak, were held April 7, 2011, at
Anderson Clayton Chapel in Kemp.
Bridges was born July 1, 1956, in Dallas to Pauline Smith and Jimmy Feemster
and died April 3, 2011, in Red Oak.
She was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Bridges strived to give a helping hand at every opportunity and make the
best of life.
Her grandchildren were her world and she loved every minute that she spent
with them. Just seeing the great smiles upon their faces lit up her day and
carried her through the next.
Bridge’s optimism and ray of hope showed brightly for all to see, and it
will continue on in the hearts of all those she has touched so deeply.
The joy of her in our lives will forever be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her father and son Derrek Bridges.
Survivors include her husband, Garry Bridges, Red Oak; daughter Kristi Todd
and husband Jimmie, Plano; grandchildren Nicholas and Aiden Todd, Plano;
Lealon Wayne Bridges, Slidell, La.; mother Pauline Feemster, Kemp; sister
Treva Lane, Seven Points; brothers Jim Feemster, Midlothian; Steve Feemster,
Red Oak; and mother-in-law Wilma Bridges and husband Eugene, Terrell.
Helen Kilman
Services for Helen Kilman, 92, Malakoff, were held April 9, 2011, at the
First Baptist Church in Malakoff with Bro. Jerry Johnson officiating.
Interment followed at Old Concord Cemetery in Greenville, under the
direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
She was born June 12, 1918, in Lockland to Rosa Lee Scott and Robert McLain
and died April 6, 2011, in Athens.
Kilman graduated from Cross Roads High School in 1936.
She married Dr. P.T. Kilman in 1974. She was employed at Kilman Hospital in
Malakoff as Dr. Kilman’s nurse for more than 22 years.
Kilman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Malakoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Mack, Gordon,
Purvis, Alton and Linder; sisters Annie, Jessie and Pauline; half-brothers
Sam, Ernest, Buford and Lannis.
Survivors include sons Kevin Kilman and wife Lisa; Kyle Kilman and wife
Lynne; sister Bessie Hazel McLain; grandchildren Broc, Patrick, Abigail and
Augustus Kilman; great-grandchildren Caden and Addysson Kilman.
Pallbearers were Broc Kilman, Patrick Kilman, Jary Dan Hustead, Page
Durocher, Randy Lee and Bob Dosser.
Ruth Craft
Graveside services for Ruth Craft, 90, were held April 6, 2011, at Payne
Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Pearson officiating, under the
direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Craft was born May 28, 1920, in Athens to Bobbie Gordon and Clint Davis and
died April 4, 2011, in Henderson County.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Tobe Craft.
Survivors include sons Bob Craft and wife Suzanne; Jimmy Craft; daughter
Virginia Harris and husband Ken; six grandchildren; several
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other family members and
friends.
