Hayden Wagner
Services for Hayden Jay Wagner, Mabank, were held May 6, 2009, at King
Cemetery with Kenneth Bell officiating under the direction of Tomlinson
Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Wagner was born Dec. 19, 2008, in Athens to Kristina and Shawn Wagner
and died May 2, 2009, in Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include brothers Eric Tello and Shawn Wagner Jr.; sister
Alexia Tello; grandparents Millie and Kevin Long; and Shellye and Willie
Autry; Diane Mannello, John Wagner; great-grandparents Delores Mannello,
Sandra Morris; Elaine and Marion Long; Julie and Billy Morris;
great-great-grandparent Dora Thomas; aunts Nicole Autry, Sedi Milholland,
Julie Wagner and Ala Sinclair; uncles Coby Long, Johnathon Wagner and
Gary Mannello; numerous nieces and nephews.
Cindy Higginbotham
Funeral arrangements for Cindy Marie Higginbotham, 48, Athens, are under
the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Higginbotham was born Jan. 25, 1961, in Ennis and died April 25, 2009,
in Athens.
She was a baker and had resided in Athens for the past 10 years.
Survivors include her sons Robert Lewis Higginbotham and Justin Alton
Higginbotham, both of Athens; mother Viola Jean Folmar, Athens; brothers
Robert Folmar, Terrell; and Alton Folmar, Dallas; friend Susan Christy
Brown, Athens; and grandchild Lacey Alexious Higginbotham.
Robert Overton Sr.
Cremation arrangements were made for Robert Leroy Overton Sr., 75,
Athens, by Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp.
Overton was born Sept. 18, 1933, in Saxton, Mo., to the late Mary Henson
and Henry Overton, and died March 29, 2009, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
He was a good husband, grandfather and friend and will be missed by
everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Pearl Overton, Athens; son Robert Overton
Jr., Kemp; stepdaughter Irma Espinoza, Athens; grandchildren Alyssa,
Raquel, Garrett and Dalton; brother Louie Overton, Illinois; numerous
other family members and many friends.
Willie Black
Services for Willie Black, 81, Malakoff, were held May 4, 2009, at the
Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff with Don Miller officiating. Burial
was in Malakoff Cemetery.
Black was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Rayne, La., to the late Lucille
Lavergne and Robert Junot and died April 30, 2009, in Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband Charles Black; sons Raymond Black, Port
Neches; and Charles and wife Donna Black, Savannah; sisters Pearl
Credeur, Thibodeaux, La.; and Belle Boudreaux, Scott, La.;
granddaughters Shannon and husband Jason Smith, Arlington; and Melissa
Rae Black, Austin; grandson Bradley Black, Savannah; and
great-granddaughter Ana Beth Smith, Arlington.
Pallbearers were Hal Johnson, Bill Green, Jason Smith, Pete Truly, Joe
Ladd Faulk and Brad Black.
John Reed Jr.
Services for John Henry Reed Jr., 70, Trinidad, were held May 5, 2009,
at the Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff with Brother Tom Bolton
officiating.
Reed was born June 18, 1938, in Wichita Falls to the late Willie Elmina
Herndon and John Henry Reed and died May 1, 2009, in Trinidad.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Anthony Reed.
He was a self-employed cabinet maker.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Mary Ann Reed; daughter Tammy
Louise and husband John Rios, Athens; son Michael Wade and wife Tina
Reed, Murrieta, Calif.; grandchildren John Romero Rios Jr., Joshua Wade
Reed, Nathan James Reed, Todd Michael Vargo and Scott David Dobrick.
Thelma Estes
Services for Thelma Charlotte “Sis” Estes, 88, Kemp, were held April 18,
2009, at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with Pastor James Martin
officiating. Interment followed in Shiloh Cemetery.
Estes was born March 17, 1921, in Styx to the late Violet Brewer and
Elmo Leonard Estes and died April 16, 2009, in Kaufman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Billy Joe,
James L., Pete and Bobby Lee Estes.
She enjoyed piecing and quilting, watching TV and reading.
Survivors include her loving sister Alice Morton and husband Clyde,
Kemp; sisters-in-law Ann Estes, Dallas; and Bobbie Estes, Kemp; numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. |
