Woody
Dally
A memorial service for Woody Dally, 76, Kemp, will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Cedar Creek Bible Church of Seven Points.
Dally was born March 2, 1933, to Leecy and Chester Dally and died May 1,
2009.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years Jerrie Dally.
A native born Texan, he grew up with an avid interest in livestock,
sports and education. He worked many years as a teacher and coach of
sports.
He also worked as a janitor, ranch hand, farmer, insurance salesman and
pipeline fencing crew chief. He was never afraid of hard work.
He and his wife loved to travel around the country. They gave of
themselves tirelessly to their family and others.
He chose years ago to donate his body to the Southwestern Medical Center
of Dallas, to promote study for medical purposes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cedar
Creek Bible Church Benevolence Fund.
Curtis
English Jr.
A memorial service for Curtis Leeroy English Jr., was held May 9, 2009,
at the First Presbyterian Church of Mabank.
English was born July 27, 1930, to the late Christine Rogers and Curtis
L. English Sr. and died May 4, 2009.
He was a retired aircraft mechanic for Braniff International Airlines.
Survivors include his wife Shirley B. English; daughters Amelia
Strickland, Tana Adams and Lisa English; grandchildren Darnae Ahmed and
husband Tim Ahmed and Siobhan Omlor; great-grandchildren Alora and
Michael Ahmed.
Lois Sarder
Services for Lois Elaine Sarder, 64, Kemp, were held May 7, 2009, at the
Trinidad Cemetery with Chaplain James Martin officiating under the
direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Sarder was born July 9, 1944, in Dallas to the late Loren Edith Branum
and Wesley Wayne Childers and died May 4, 2009, at the Kemp Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gale Catlim and son
Charles Douglas Yates.
She was a housewife.
Survivors include her daughter Kerry and husband Mike Shinn; sons Kevin
and James Yates; brothers Donny, Jimmy and Larry Joe Childers; 10
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Georgia Martin
Services for Georgia Mae Martin, 88, Kaufman, were held May 9, 2009, at
the First United Methodist Church in Crandall with the Rev. Jim Wilkins
officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in
Mabank.
Martin was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Fort Worth and died May 3, 2009, in
Kaufman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Martin and daughter Ruth
Martin.
She was a homemaker and attended Kaufman High School. She graduated from
Portales High School in New Mexico.
Survivors include her son David L. Martin, Spring; grandchildren Sharon
Martin, Spring; David McCraw Jr., Denver, Colo.; and Jacob Matthew
Tutthill, Fort Myers, Fla.
Rebecca Carson
Services for Rebecca Diane Carson, 30, Tool, were held May 8, 2009, at
the Church of Promise with the Rev. Gary Wright officiating. Interment
was in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of
Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Survivors include her parents Janice and Garry Carson, Tool; brother
James McCuire Scotland; sisters Jeannie McKinley, Hooker, Okla.; and
Jennifer Lentz, Arlington; grandmother Corrine Moyer, Athens; other
family members and friends.
Willene Gardner
Willene Gardner, 77, Plano, passed away after a 2½-year battle with
Multiple Melanoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar
Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Gardner was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Eustace and died May 5, 2009, in
Frisco.
Survivors include her sister Mary Gardner, Plano; brother Charles
Gardner and wife Wanda, Frisco; one niece, nephew, two great nephews,
three great nieces and many friends. |
