Stewart
Memorial services for Lori K. Stewart, 53, of Gun Barrel City, are set for
10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Tool with
Rev. C. Mitchell Gillilan and Rev. Steven Mason officiating.
Stewart was born Sept. 3, 1958, in Dallas, to Kathryn Pierce and Charles
Jack Stewart, and died May 5, 2012, at her home in Gun Barrel City.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her son, Joshua Stewart Meeks; stepdaughter Petra Michell
Dunaway; granddaughters Anja Michell Handy and Megan Victoria Dunaway; and
her mother.

Helen Bailey
Services for Helen J. Bailey, 98, of Kemp, will be held at a later date.
Bailey was born Nov. 8, 1913, in Huntington, Ind., to Lena Smith and Carl
Miller.
She was an awesome mother and grandmother and prayer warrior for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Vaughn.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Bailey and husband Barton of Kemp and
Nancy Picket and husband Paul; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
other family members and many friends.

Barbara
Mangum
Services for Barbara Jean Mangum, 64, of Terrell, will be held at a later
date.
Mangum was born March 16, 1948, in Temple, to Montez Smith and Tommy Carol
Maricle and died peacefully May 5, 2012, at her home.
She was called “Barb” by friends and family and was everyone’s “Mama.”
She enjoyed her cats, antique shopping, going to Barry Manilow concerts and
collecting cat figurines.
She was a wonderful homemaker and loved decorating her home. She attended
North Lake College and was an accounting clerk for 20 years.
She was Baptist by faith and a member of Legendary Baptist Church, where she
was a choir and audit committee member and the Sunday school secretary.
She was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. Mangum, of Terrell; daughter Pamela
Oliver and husband Jerry of Rockwall; son Garry W. Mangum and wife Eva of
Grand Prairie; mother Montez Pierce and husband Durwood of Gun Barrel City;
two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; other family members and many
friends.

Max
Bishop
Services for Max Wayne Bishop, of Eustace, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday May
10, 2012, at Lakeside with Bro. Floyd Loven officiating under the direction
of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Tool
Cemetery.
Bishop was born Oct. 25, 1934, to Maxine Courtney and Erza Earl Bishop and
died May 7, 2012. He was one of 12 children.
He married the love of his life and soul mate Bobbie Joyce White August 14,
1954.
The couple has shared 57 wonderful years together united as one. They have
one daughter.
He was a longtime member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Trinidad and the of
the Masonic Lodge in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Earl and Dickie Bishop
and his father and mother-in-law Grady and Lola Dean White.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Bishop; daughter Cathy Estes and husband
Steve; grandson Adam Estes and wife Julie; granddaughter Karen Parker and
husband Craig Parker; great-grandchildren Trenten Ray, Jonah Clay and Elijah
James Estes, Casen Lee Parker; brothers and sisters Bobbye Taylor, Butch
Bishop, Patricia Gunter, Mary Stine, Carol Bonin, Jerry Lynn, Diane, Jimbo,
Butch and Ronnie Bishop; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dale Bonin, John, Chris and Jerry Furlough, and Jason
Bryan.

Mary Redus
Services for Mary Violet Redus, 87, of Gun Barrel City, are set for May 8,
2012, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp. Burial will follow at
Tool Cemetery in Tool.
Redus was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Dierks, Ark., to Martha Addie Sturges and
Samuel Thomas Bingham and died May 4, 2012, in Gun Barrel City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer Clyde Redus,
three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Ensley and husband Charles Pickle of
Davis, Okla., Rose Elmore and husband Jerry of Gun Barrel City, Pat Hawkins
of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren Robert Ensley and wife Penny, Wayne Ensley
and wife Danielle, Tabatha Badgett and husband Kirk Griggs, Tony Holbert and
wife Emily, Samantha Hawkins and husband Brad Temple, Michael Elmore, Paul
Elmore, Donald Elmore, Ronald Elmore; numerous great grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; brother Edward Bingham and Bessie of Saddler;
sister Ellen Warrick and husband Billy of Herford.
