  Martha Barbee
Services for Martha Manning Barbee, 89, Mabank, were held May 2, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of Mabank with Dr. Royce Riley and the Rev. Chris Schoolcraft officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Barbee was born July 26, 1918, in McAlester, Okla., and died April 29, 2008, in Mabank. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years John Palmer Manning, husband of seven years Edgar L. Barbee and brother Mack Allen.
She spent most of her life in Mabank and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mabank and loved great music, traveling and her family.
She was a member of the Halcyon Club for more than 50 years, United Methodist Women, and active in her Sunday School class.
Survivors include her sons John A. Manning and wife Ralaine, Mabank; Robert L. Manning and wife Kathryn, Mabank; and Thomas S. Manning and wife Rhonda, Mabank; grandchildren Susan Winkelvoss and husband Matt, Mabank; Keitha Adams and husband Wayne, Mansfield; Mark Manning and wife Cindy, Mabank; Scott Manning and wife Carolyn, Mabank; Lauren Hall and husband Ryan, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Nancy Manning and Valerie Manning, Mabank; nine great-grandchildren; stepson Walter Barbee and wife Robin, Annandale, Va.; stepdaughter Sue Gima, Sun City, Ariz.; six step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren; other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers were Mark Manning, Scott Manning, Wayne Adams, Larry Hall, Ryan Hall, Matt Winkelvoss and John Dellis.

Era Bailey
Services for Era Bailey, 89, Mabank, were held May 9, 2008, at the Church of Christ in Mabank with Bob Clamon officiating.
Burial was in Kerens Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Bailey was born June 2, 1918, in Kerens and died May 6, 2008, in Mabank.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dee Bailey, son Eddie Bailey, four sisters and four brothers.
She was a homemaker and resided in Mabank. She was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son Richard Bailey and wife Diane, Kemp; daughters Donna Hall and husband John, Seven Points; Lora Humphrey and husband Homer, Minden, La.; Oneta McAfee and husband David, Mabank; Drucilla Lewis and husband Charles, Mabank; and Basha Cox and husband Celeous, Athens; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Hall, Micheal Thompson, Nathan Bailey, Kyle McAfee, Austin McAfee, Charles Lewis, Eric Cox and Cody Cox.

Linda Weaver
Memorial services for Linda Christine Weaver, 68, Scurry, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Weaver was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Decatur to the late Cora and Edward R. Treister and died May 3, 2008, in Dallas.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband William L. Weaver; daughters Teresa Ann Stutts, Scurry; and Sandra Sasenger, Seagoville.
