Confederate soldier honored with grave marker
Special to The Monitor

CANTON–Sergeant Asa Jasper Parker was honored with a Confederate grave marker May 12 at the Zion Hill Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
The Mollie Moore Davis Chapter 217 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy teamed up with the Captain James P. Douglas Camp 124 Sons of Confederate Veterans and Members of the Black Rose Society to honor Parker with his grave marker.
