Linda Henry
Services for Linda Sue Henry, 64, were held May 21, 2011, at the First
Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City. Interment followed at Laurel Oaks
Cemetery in Mesquite, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home
in Mabank.
She was born Feb. 11, 1947, to Cora Lee Davis and Ikey Lee Miller and died
May 18, 2011.
Henry was a very loving, humble and supportive person, who was known for her
love of flowers and making things grow.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Ikey Wayne “Bo” Miller.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Henry; daughter Donna Sue Figert and
husband Tom; stepdaughter Debbie Henry Darud and husband Hakan; stepson Ron
Henry and wife Penny; grandchildren Jake, Autumn, Brooke, Maddie, Jaden,
Lance, Jennifer and Alexandria; brothers Charles Miller and wife Sherry;
James E. Miller and wife Dorothy; nieces and nephews; other family members
and a host of friends.

Annie Lindsey
Services for Annie Irene Lindsey, 97, were held May 21, 2011, at the
Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Kemp with the Rev. Nolan Richey of Concord
Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery in
Mabank.
Lindsey was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Rockwall to Mr. and Mrs. Darr and died
May 17, 2011, in Kaufman.
She was loved by all and never met a stranger.
Lindsey was a hat maker and seamstress in the textile industry.
She created hats for Neiman Marcus and Sanger Harris department stores.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Otho Lindsey; son Joe
Lindsey; grandson Matt Lindsey; brother Melton Darr; half-brothers Joe and
Charlie Alphin and twin sister Mary Perkins.
Survivors include sons Gifton Lindsey and wife Jan; Gilbert Lindsey and wife
Corrine; Don Lindsey and wife Linda; daughter-in-law Wilma Lindsey; sister
Vena Alphin; sister-in-law Ruth Babb; 12 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce Welch
Graveside services for Joyce Welch, 80, were held May 23, 2011, at Laurel
Land Memorial Park.
She was born June 28, 1930, and died May 19, 2011, in Dallas.
Welch’s faith in God and dedication to her family will forever be with us.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Carmen; sister Sue
McGlone; brothers Alvis Harris and Lavonne Harris.
Survivors include husband Monroe Welch; son James Carmen and wife Carolyn,
Prosper; daughter Judy McDonald and husband Jerry, McKinney; sisters Lou
Elmore and Polly Lewis; grandchildren Bart McDonald, Jennifer McIntier,
Shannon Hadley, Carrie Pritchard, James Carmen Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren
and “the boys.”
Michael Osborn
Memorial services for Michael Bruce Osborn, 43, will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Graze Prairie Baptist Church with the
Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of
Moorhead Epps Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City.
Osborn was born March 27, 1968, at Camp Lejeune, N.C., to Joan Wonell Dyer
and Michael Bruce Smith and died May 21, 2011, at his home in Scurry.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Angie Osborn; son Matthew B. Osborn
and god-son Joshiua A. Gardner.
Perry Daniels III
Memorial services for Perry Daniels III, 51, of Kemp, have
already been held.
He was born Dec. 6, 1959, in Dallas to Jackie Harlan and Perry Daniels II
and died May 16, 2011, in Kemp.
Daniels worked for Associated Air Center as a quality control manager until
his death.
He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
His devotion to his family will always be remembered.
Daniels loved to play with his grandchildren.
He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone he met.
Daniels enjoyed playing golf and watching NASCAR races.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister Debra Perdue.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Daniels; daughters Autumn Johnson; Sarah
Garzon and husband Joe; mother Jackie Daniels; brother Jimmy Daniels and
wife Pricilla; granddaughters Alyssa Daniels, Emily Broussard, Madison
Daniels and Meadow Garzon.
Nellie Wood
Services for Nellie C. Wood, 96, were held May 23, 2011, at Tomlinson
Funeral Home in Seven Points with Bro. Dale Norris officiating. Interment
followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville.
She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in New Berry, Fla., to Mary Searcy and Spencer
Holt and died May 19, 2011, in Terrell.
Wood was a retired restaurant owner and was a long-time member of Faith
Community Church of Payne Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Wood and numerous
brothers and sisters.
Survivors include daughter Betty Cates and husband Murray; sons Eddie Wood
and Jerry Wood and wife Dianne; sisters Delma Rogers and Clarice Palmer; six
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
