James
McDaniel
Services for James “Scout” McDaniel, 59, Kemp, were held May 26, 2007,
in the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kemp with the Rev. James Reed
officiating.
Interment followed in the King Cemetery under the direction of
Anderson-Clayton Bros. of Kemp.
McDaniel was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Opelousas, La. to Felder and Viola
(Breeland) McDaniel and passed away May 22, 2007, in Kemp.
He was a member of the R.K Forever and the Teamsters Local 767.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and a Vietnam veteran, and
worked for UPS for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife Emma McDaniel of Kemp; daughters Julie
McDaniel of Kemp and Stephanie McDaniel of Kemp; sons Dennis McCoy and
his wife Tammy of Greenville; and Paul McCoy of Athens; grandchildren
Jansin and Courtney McCoy, Hunter Wilson McDaniel and Tanner Woods;
brothers Jack McDaniel of Seagoville; and Howard McDaniel of Kemp; other
relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Dick Roffino, Mark Seamore, Clark Seamore, Ricky Bass,
Ken Lamrock and Mike Welch.
Floyd Schultz
Services for Floyd Reagan Schultz, 82, Trinidad, were held May 25, 2007,
at the Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Anthony
McLaughlin officiating.
Burial was in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of
Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Schultz was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Palestine to the late Ida Mizell and
William Easterwood Schultz and died May 21, 2007, in East Texas Medical
Center.
He was preceded in death by Steven Chunn in 1976.
He was an aircraft mechanic, enjoyed gardening and loved animals. He
built his own home at the age of 79-81. He enjoyed working on airplanes
and attending air shows.
Survivors include sons Wayman Chunn, Houston; Lonnie Chunn, New
Braunfels; Philip Chunn, Bonham; and John C. Chunn, Tarpley; daughter
Teresa Welsh, Plano; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Ashly Chunn, Reagan Chunn, Adam Chunn, Hyung Kim,
Thomas Loupe and Sam Hartstock.
Edward Hager
Edward Leon Hager, 37, Payne Springs, died May 23, 2007, in Athens. He
was born Nov. 17, 1969, in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his mother Victoria Ann Hager in 1993.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home
in Mabank.
He was an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his father Leon Hager, Payne Springs; brothers A.C.
Green, Aberdeen, Miss.; and Billy Maxey, Irving; sisters Alta Chambers,
Payne Springs; Lee Ann Sanchez, Payne Springs; and Tracey Hager, Mabank;
several nieces and nephews.
