  Patsy DeHart
Services for Patsy Ruth DeHart, 74, Athens, were held May 28, 2008, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Trinidad Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
DeHart was born Dec. 18, 1933, in DeSoto and died May 26, 2008, in Athens.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Rolinda Ethier and husband Randy, Athens; brothers Norman Weaver and wife Lana, Granbury; and Erniee Weaver and wife Melba, Lancaster; sisters Janey Curry and husband Don, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Irene Cretein, Lamesa, Calif.; grandsons Daniel Krueger, Tool; and Adam Krueger, Athens; great-grandson Troy Krueger, Gun Barrel City; great-granddaughters Shyanne Krueger and Danielle Krueger, Gun Barrel City.

Ed Duke
Services for Ed Duke, 95, Rowlett, were held May 31, 2008, in Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Royce Barker officiating.
Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Duke was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Waterman and died May 22, 2008, in Rowlett.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He was chief of police in Mabank from 1971-1975 and 1983-1988. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his daughter Betty White and husband Ken, Royse City; son Ralph Duke and wife Laurie, Corsicana; stepsons Tom Duke, Hot Springs, Ark.; John Duke and David Duke, Mabank; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Lynn Meserole
Services for Lynn “Uncle Dick” Meserole, 82, Gun Barrel City were held May 30, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City, with the Rev. Byron Jones officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Meserole was born Dec. 1, 1927, in New Orleans, La., and died May 24, 2008, in Athens.
He was a pipefitter and member of the Pinnacle Golf Club.
He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Mason Dupout Lodge in Wilmington, Del.
Survivors include his wife Florence Meserole, Mabank; stepson Samuel Jennings and wife Patricia, Boise, Idaho; stepdaughter Judith Dodd, Wilmington, Del.; stepgrandchildren Joeseph Jennings, Benjamin Jennings and Elizabeth Dodd Kautz; and stepgreat-grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas Kautz.
