DAR members learn about quilting

MABANK–The speaker at the recent meeting for the Sarah
Maples Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution
was Beverly Stringer.
Stringer spoke about her love for quilt making using
reproduction fabrics from the 19th century.

Beverly Stringer at the recent DAR meeting.
After working in the telecommunications industry for 29
years, she was part of a downsizing which led to a very
early retirement.
Not knowing how to handle so much free time, she opened a
quilt shop in Athens called “The Needle Niche.”
