Purtis Creek State Park hosts family fun event

EUSTACE–Purtis Creek State Park held its annual Kid Fish and Play Day June 2.
During the day, children had the opportunity to have fun and learn the basics of traditional fishing such as knot-tying, casting, identifying fish and demonstrating how to be a safe and responsible angler.

The play day is held the first Saturday in June.
Each of the first 300 children to go through each station of fun and instruction received a free rod and reel.
