  Steven Varnado
Services for Steven Bennett Varnado, 55, Mabank, were held June 9, 2010, at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Varnado was born April 5, 1955, in Dallas to Wanda Ruth Bennett and Elvin Varnado and died June 5, 2010, at a Tyler hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Elvin Varnado.
Formerly of Irving, he was a graduate of MacArthur High School and was a master electrician.
He was an Episcopalian by faith.
He loved to build things or take them apart to see how they worked and also enjoyed photography, cooking, reading and electronics.
Survivors include sister Donna Easley and husband Rusty, Eustace; brother Homer Lee Varnado and wife Sue, Fort Smith, Ark.; uncle L.A. Varnado and wife Omega, Mesquite; aunts Bonnie Martin, Summit, Miss.; and LaVelle Varnado and husband Gerald, Denham Springs, La.; niece Shannon Easley, Addison; and nephew David Easley, Eustace.

Theople Avant
Services for Theople Avant, 96, Mabank, were held May 29, 2010, at the Phalba Independant Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Dewain Mixon officiating. Burial was in Tool Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Avant was born Feb. 14, 1914, in Roddy and died May 27, 2010, in Mabank.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ludy and Mark Sparks, husband Reagon Avant, daughter, brother, sister and two grandchildren.
Previously of Kleberg, she had resided in Mabank for the past 41 years and was Pentecostal by faith.
Survivors include sons, Ronald Reagon Avant; and Donald Mac Avant and wife Lisa, Mesquite; daughters Bobbie Fagan, Mabank; Nelda Rodgers and husband Will, Mineola; and Wanda Kellar, Mabank; sister Elizabeth Steward, Palestine; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and other family members.
Pallbearers were Steven Fagan, Michael Kellar, Rocky Kellar, Benny Kellar, Carl Kellar and Donnie Ray Avant.

Rebecca Utley
Services for Rebecca Utley, 50, Mabank, were held June 4, 2010, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev James Jacobs officiating. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Utley was born May 20, 1960, in Dallas and died June 1, 2010, in Mabank.
Previously of Mesquite, she had resided in Mabank for the past seven years.
Survivors include her parents, Connie and David Utley, Gun Barrel City; daughter Jennifer Castro, Mabank; brothers David Utley Jr. and wife Cecilia Ann, Eustace; Billy Don Utley and wife Penny, Crandall; and Richard Paul Utley and wife Sylvia Ann, Garland; sister Lillian Katheryn Singleton and husband Gary Wayne, Wagner; two four-legged babies Kinzee Noelle and Kazy Skylar; other family and many friends.

Glenn Richardson
Memorial services for Glenn Richardson, 71, Gun Barrel City, will be held at a later date under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Point.
Richardson was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Kingsley, Iowa to Nora Torkelson and Elmer Richardson and died June 7, 2010, in Kemp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff Richardson, brothers Romaine, Kent and Bruce Richardson.
He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie Richardson; son Martin Richardson and wife Scotti; daughters Teresa Hein and husband Lee; Tanya Reilly and husband Don; and Tamie Able and husband Charles. 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Eva Lora Miller
Services for Eva Lora Miller, 75, Mabank, were held June 5, 2010, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Margie Mcarley officiating. Interment was in Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Miller was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Eustace and died May 31, 2010, in Wichita Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paulin and Chester Banks and husband Samuell Miller in 1987.
She had resided in Mabank most of her life and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her son, Danny Joe Miller, Mabank; daughters Sandra Michelle Miller, Kenner, La.; Vickie Barton, Bowie; and Kimberly Marcell Miller, Mabank; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; other family and many friends.

Virgie Waldrip
Funeral arrangements for Virgie Dee Waldrip, 72, Gun Barrel City, are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Waldrip was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Boyd and died May 29, 2010, in Gun Barrel City.
He was preceded in death by his parents Florence and Ernest Waldrip and son Virgie Waldrip Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Waldrip, Gun Barrel City; son Thomas Waldrip, Pasadena; daughters Davis Kimberley, Port Aransas; Diane Doop, Fort Worth; and Sherri Addington, Fort Worth; stepson Glenn Pinson, Mesquite; and brother James Lee Waldrip, Tyler.
