CEDAR CREEK LAKE–With the Mabank Panthers having
a school history-making season, and the Kemp Yellowjackets
seeing continued success, turnout for baseball camps was strong.

A Kemp Yellowjacket baseball camper keeps his eye on the ball as
he perfects his swing Monday.
Both camps were held this week, and Kemp saw the
biggest jump in attendance.
With the Kemp Area Sports Association (KASA) bringing baseball
and softball back, more than 30 campers attended the
Yellowjacket baseball camp, compared to less than 10 last year.
At both camps, campers learned the basics of the game, practiced
batting and fielding, worked on catching and throwing, and ran
through drills and games meant to put the lessons into practical
use.
