Jimmie Sue McWhorter
Services for Jimmie Sue McWhorter, 77, of Mabank, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June
20, 2010, at A Sinners Hope Baptist Church in Payne Springs with the Rev. Tommy
Merchant officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
She was born March 3, 1933, in Mayflower, Miss., and died June 9, 2010, at a Tyler
hospital.
Previously of Alvarado, she had resided in Payne Springs for the past 12 years.
She retired from Taylor Publishing Co. and was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of A
Sinners Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Carolyn Sue Gorman and Kathy
Timminelo.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Gene McWhorter of Mabank, son Michael McWhorter and
wife Sandra of Eustace, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with other
family members and many loving friends.Loas Mullins
Services for Loas Baby Gal Mullins, 89, Kemp, were held June 16, 2010, at
Shiloh Cemetery in Kemp under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in
Kemp.
Mullins was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Livingston to Mary Holley and Newt Pyle and died June
11, 2010, in Ennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George C. Mullins; and son Mickey D.
Collier.
She will be most remembered for baking delicious pies at the Western Cafe in Kemp.
Survivors include her son Carl Lynn Mullins, Kemp; daughter Mary Nannette Mullins,
Rosanky; daughter-in-law Betty J. Collier, Cedar Park; grandsons Ian Stubbs and wife
Debby, Rowlett; Wesley Hagood, Arlington; Kelley Collier and wife Tracey, Fort Carson,
Colo.; and Corey Collier and wife Rosie, Bishop; great-grandchildren Evan Stubbs, Rowlett;
Shawn Collier and Brendan Collier, both of Fort Carson, Colo.; and Harley Collier, Bishop;
brother J.B. Pyle and wife Carmeleta, Idalou; sisters Doris Haynes and husband John,
Meadow; Orange King and Laveda Tedder.
Harvel Nichols
Services for Harvel Ray Nichols, 73, were held June 15, 2010, at the First Missionary
Baptist Church in Mabank. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville under the
direction of Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Nichols was born July 10, 1936, and died June 13, 2010.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Bettye; children Millie Hickey, Ranell Parmer,
Forest Nichols and Gina Bailey; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Johnnie Whitt
Services for Johnnie Irene Whitt, 86, were held June 9, 2010, at the Restland Memorial
Chapel. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of
Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.
Whitt was born March 19, 1922, in Denison to Betty Lee and James Myers, and died June 6,
2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Lee Whitt, daughter Betty Louise
Morrison and three sisters.
She married Bobbie Lee Whitt Oct. 11, 1942.
Survivors include her children, Bobbie Jean Dennis; James Robert Whitt and wife Pam;
Louella Burns; Linda Dollison and husband Dewey; and Rick Lowery; 15 grandchildren; 38
great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews who loved
her dearly. |
