Local man on ‘Most Wanted’ list captured
Gun Barrel City man fails to register as a sex offender
Monitor Staff Reports
AUSTIN–The Texas Department of Public Safety reports the capture of a Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender in Tyler Monday.
The Gun Barrel City Police Department issued a warrant on Sean Michael Price, 27, when he failed to register as a sex offender back in April. Subsequently, he was added to the “Most Wanted List” and came to the attention of the criminal investigation department investigators.
Since Price’s capture was not the result of a tip from the public, the $3,000 reward posted for his capture will not be awarded.
Their probe lead agents and Highway Patrol troopers to a Tyler residence, where Price was arrested for Failure to Register and probation violation.
According to the DPS website, Price was originally convicted of Rape of a Child in the state of Washington.
