Man dies in head-on collision on SH 198

The occupants of a Nissan Maxima
escape injury after being clipped just prior to a head-on
collision Wednesday morning near The Monitor office.
A fire truck and city workers altered the traffic flow at the
crash site on a very busy Third Street.
Gary LeRoy Johnson, 60, the chairman and CEO of Grayhawk Cos., a
risk management firm, died within a mile of his Mabank office in
a head-on collision on State Highway 198.
A service is set at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sparkman/Hillcrest
Funeral Home, located at 7405 West Northwest Highway in Dallas.
Johnson’s firm had sponsored the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber
of Commerce monthly luncheon less than two weeks ago.
