Howard
Beale
Services for Howard Smith Beale, III, 60, of Mabank, will be held at a later
date.
Beale was born July 9, 1951, in Somerset, Pa., to Luella Rhodes and Howard
Smith Beale, Jr., and died June 25, 2012, in Tyler.
He was known as “Smitty” by his friends and “Pappyman” by his granddaughter.
He loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed food, talking and telling
stories with his family.
He was an avid classic car fan, enjoyed reading National Geographic, taking
nature walks and bird watching.
He attended New Mexico Jr. College in Hobbs, N.M.
He was Lutheran by faith and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hobbs,
N.M.
Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Beale of Lubbock and Sarah English
of Mabank; his wife and lifetime friend, Nancy Beale of Mabank;
granddaughter Sydni English; sisters Gladys Weinstock of Houston and
Jeanetta Pyle of Ohio.

Eddie
Gunderson
Services for Eddie Charles Gunderson, 59, of Mabank, were held June 28,
2012, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home. Burial followed at Four Mile
Lutheran Cemetery in Mabank.
Gunderson was born May 15, 1953, in Dallas, to Willine Meadows and Eddie
Gunderson and died June 25, 2012, in Duncanville, after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Dallas and worked for the Dallas Times Herald
and the Dallas Morning News.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister Brenda Kaye Gunderson and
nephew Michael D. Elkins, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Rebecca Gunderson; his mother
Willine Gunderson Harroff; children Lance Edward, Dylan Chas and Sonnie
Michaela Gunderson; stepchildren Bruce Dodd and wife Rachel Berry, Brook
Dodd and husband Jason English, Heather Tunnel and husband Justin Butler;
grandchildren Dalton Duncan, Kayla and Emma English, Brynn and Ryder Dodd
and Zane Butler; sister and brother-in-law Micki and Mike Rawlings;
father-in-law Allen Watkins; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins
and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Mile Lutheran Church, P.O.
Box 5004, Mabank, TX 75147, or the charity of your choice.
