Garrett Smith
Graveside services for Garrett Allan Smith, infant, were held June 30, 2011,
at Eureka Cemetery with Mike Fautt officiating, under the direction of
Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Smith was born and died June 24, 2011, in Corsicana to Miki and Wade Smith.
Survivors include parents; grandparents Kim and Gene Smith; Susan and Jesse
White; great-grandparents Dorothy Smith, Linda Horton and Ben White;
numerous aunts and uncles.
Michael Fink
Michael Robert Fink, 55, was born Nov. 1, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., to Julia
and Robert Fink and died June 11, 2011, in Mabank.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fink.
Survivors include mother Julia Bedra; Joliet, Ill., life partner Donna
Micatka, Mabank; sister Carol; nieces Crystal, Cindy and Colleen.
Billy Parker
Graveside services for Billy “Bill” Earl Parker, 68, of Kemp, was held July
1, 2011, at the Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis with Pastor Russell Bryan of Kemp
Baptist Church officiating, under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros.
Funeral Home in Kemp.
Parker was born Jan. 8, 1943, in Ennis, to Nina and Joe Parker and died June
28, 2011, in Tyler.
He was an only child.
Parker graduated from Samuel High School in Dallas and proudly served in the
U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era in the Heavy Attack Squadron.
He was a local 745 Teamster Member more than 30 years, and a member of the
Kaufman VFW Post.
Parker enjoyed hunting and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Judy Parker; daughter Rhonda White
and husband Randy; and grandson Tyler White, who will greatly miss his “Popa.”
Richard Thomas
Memorial services for Richard Gene Thomas, 74, of Kemp, was held June 25,
2011, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Bro. Andre Ward
officiating. The cremains will be placed in DFW National Cemetery at a later
date, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Thomas was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Hastings, Neb., to Nevada Snyder and
Raymond Thomas and died June 20, 2011, at his residence in Kemp.
He was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in both Korea and
Vietnam. He retired after 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Thomas.
Survivors include sons Steve Thomas and wife Amber, Grand Prairie; Gary
Thomas and wife Tammy, Kemp; Greg Thomas and wife Mona, Kemp; and Don Thomas
and wife Stacy, Austin; brother Tommy Thomas and wife Ronnie; sisters Gloria
Allan, Waxahachie; Dain “De De” Marsh, Dallas; nine grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; other family members and many friends.
