KEMPThe area chamber of commerces annual Red Hot 18 wasnt
nearly as hot as it has been in years past, thanks to an early-morning start, and some 62
golfers participated in the four-man scramble Monday at the Cedar Creek Country Club.
Claiming low gross honors was the team of Brad Lawrence, Steve Winfield, David Farhat and
Doug Humble, who recorded a round of 53.
Low net honors went to the team of Tim Lilly, Taylor Brown, Matt Mauder, Twina Hetmer and
Rick Brown, who posted an adjusted score of 47.8 to win.
The second low gross score, a round of 58, was posted by the team of Adam Schieber, Ray
Luke, Tommy Lanoux and Steve Skinner.
Second low net score was 48.4, posted by the team of Suzanne Mays, Martha Parker, Lana
Mock and David Beery.
Third low gross was a round of 59 carded by the team of Dean Fannin, Debra Davis, John
Hacker and Derek Drab.
Third low net was a 52.1 recorded by the team of Ray Armstrong, Mac McKinney, Chris Powers
and Gary Walsh.
Matt Miller and Debra Davis posted the mens and womens longest drive,
respectively, while Beery and Lisa Miller hit the shot closest to the pin during the
tournament.
Proceeds from the fund-raising tournament benefitted the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of
Commerce.
Sponsors for the tournament included Adrienne Gautreaux-McDonald, Trinity Valley Electric
