Faye Southerland
Services for Faye Cook Southerland, 79, Sand Flat, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today)
July 29, 2010, at the Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Southerland was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Payne Springs to Lois and Clyde Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Charles E. Southerland.
She was a working mother, loving wife, avid quilter and genealogy buff.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda F. Southerland, Frankston; brother Glynn Cook,
Mabank; special cousin who was like a sister, Yvonne Corbin, Sand Flat; numerous cousins,
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Cook, Mike Cook, Johnny Adams, Larry Hall, Genie Jackson and John
David Cook.
Honorary pallbearer was Earl McLauchlin. Donnie Bookman
Services for Donnie G. Bookman, 76, Mabank, were held July 27, 2010, at the Eubank
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove
Cemetery in Van Zandt County under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in
Mabank.
Bookman was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Canton and died July 24, 2010, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Bookman, son Terry Bookman, and brothers
James Lee and Wayne Bookman.
He was a lifetime Mabank resident and Baptist by faith. He never met a stranger and loved
to fish.
Survivors include his son, Tim L. Bookman, and wife Donna, Mabank; daughter Robin Gore and
husband Dennis, Edom; brother John Allen Bookman and wife Diane, Tool; nine grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers were Taylor Bookman, Eric Batie, Tracy Gore, Cody Gore, Layne Gordon and Chad
Henderson. |
