Golf tourney set for autistic youth

KEMP–A golf tournament fund-raiser to generate money to help an autistic boy receive therapy is set for Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Kings Creek Golf Course south of Kemp.
All proceeds from the four-man scramble event will benefit Matthew Muse, who needs therapy to help him battle against autism. Insurance does not cover the cost of Matthew’s 40-hour-per-week therapy.
Matthew is the son of Jodie and Maddox Muse, and the nephew of Cathy and Roy Self.
Entry fee is $65 per person, which includes green fees, cart, a goodie bag and dinner.
Sponsorships are also being sought for the tournament – Gold ($500 for four-man team), Silver ($250) and Bronze ($125).
Registration will open at noon, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
