Douglas Rhoades
Douglas Rhoades, 46, Payne Springs died Sept. 6, 2010.
He was born June 28, 1964, in Dallas to the late Kay Mulkey and Franklin Rhoades.
Survivors include his brothers, Ronald Rhoades and Michael Rhoades, both of Payne Springs;
and sister Rhonda Rhoades, Jewitt; nieces Christa and Amanda; and nephew Zackery Rhoades;
sisters-in-law, Trish and Judy Rhoades; and brother-in-law Heith Chitwood. Elvin

Services for Elvin May, 71, Gun Barrel City, were held Sept. 5, 2010, at the Restland
Memorial Park in Dallas with the Rev. Don Teague officiating under the direction of Eubank
Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
May was born June 15, 1939, in Celeste and died Sept. 2, 2010, in Gun Barrel City.
Previously of Dallas, he had resided in Gun Barrel City for the past 40 years and was
Baptist by faith. He retired from Mayco in 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda May, Gun Barrel City; daughter Sandra Dorough,
Seagoville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; other family members and
many loving friends.
James Bohannon
Memorial services for James Thomas Tommy Bohannon, 77, were held Sept. 11,
2010, at the First Baptist Church of Eustace with Bro. Paul McKinney officiating under the
direction of Moorhead Epps Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City.
Bohannon was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Dallas to Mary and Ollie Bohannon and died Sept. 7,
2010, at home surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward and Herschel, and sister Katie.
He retired after years in the heating and air conditioning business and was in the cattle
business with his son Ken.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen, Eustace; sons Nick Bohannon and wife Julie, Eustace; Ken
Bohannon and wife Phyllis, Mabank; Bart Bohannon and wife Tracy, Eustace; daughter Carla
Weems and husband Ray, Eustace; sisters Marguerite Deckert, Dallas; and Mary Henry,
Thrall; grandchildren Craig Bohannon and wife Melissa, Corsicana; Bryan Bohannon and wife
Angela, Kemp; Dustin Weems and wife Amanda, Eustace; Aaron Bohannon and wife Sandy,
Eustace; Lindsay Spivey and husband Kevin, Mabank; Staci Owen and husband Rand, Mesquite;
Ashton Neeb and wife Bethany, Rowlett; Heath Bohannon, Eustace; David Cambell, Eustace;
Chance Mathis, Eustace; Nicky Bo Bohannon, Eustace; Bobby Bowen Jr., Plano;
Courtney Bowen, Garland; and Jordan Griffith, Corinth; great-grandchildren Preslee Spivey,
Keyton Bohannon, Abbygayle Weatherford, Ty Bohannon, Keylee Bohannon and Remington Spivey;
numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Ashigbi for his loving care and the Cedar Lake
Hospice for its compassion and care of our loved one.
