Arthur
Endres
Arthur “Loren” Endres of Mabank, passed away Sept. 6, 2007. He was born
Feb. 12, 1942, in Oakland, Calif.
He was married 27 years to the love of his life, Debra Ann Endres, who
preceded him in death in 2004.
Previously of the Mid-Cities area, he had lived in Mabank for the past
three years.
Survivors include his children Jeanie Larsen, Loren Endres III and Lynn
Blasi; six grandchildren and Debra’s two girls, Leslie Sisk and Lori
Murphy and their four children.
Connie Williams
Services for Connie Mae Williams, 92, Eustace, were held Sept. 13, 2007,
at the Big Rock Community Baptist Church in Eustace with the Rev.
Thurman Young Jr. officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park
under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Williams was born May 28, 1915, in Eustace and died Sept. 9, 2007, in
Eustace.
She was a homemaker and member of the Big Rock Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son King Brookins, Eustace; daughters Mary Love
and husband John, Bay City; Roxie Armstrong, Dallas; Edith Johnson and
husband Randolph, Dallas; Betty Adams and husband Willie, Eustace; Linda
Hordge and husband Curtis, Dallas; and Chariot Phillips, Lancaster.
Jerry
Ray Bolden
Services for Jerry Ray Bolden, 68, Seven Points, were held Sept. 13,
2007, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with Pastor Leonard Eason
officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction
of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Bolden was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Dallas and died Sept. 10, 2007, in
Seven Points.
Previously of Mesquite, he had resided in Seven Points for nine years
and was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Bolden, Seven Points; daughters Terri
Workman, Dallas; Lis Carmichael and husband William, Dallas; and Carla
Meyers and husband Kevin, Dallas; stepdaughter Cheryl Noble, Payne
Springs; stepsons Alan Mitchell, Mesquite; and Kevin Mitchell, Mesquite;
sister Helen Mask and husband Jack, Mesquite; 10 grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Virgabeth Cheek
Virgabeth “Irion” Cheek, 89, Mabank, died Sept. 10, 2007, in Mabank. She
was born March 10, 1918, in Sulphur Springs. Arrangements are under the
direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Previously of Seagoville, she had resided in Mabank for 20 years. She
was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughter Mary “Irion” Craft, Mabank; grandchildren
Joe Morton and Richard Neely; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Ervin Gafford
Services for Ervin Edmon Gafford, 77, Cross Roads, were held Sept. 15,
2007, at Parkview Missionary Baptist Church with Bros. Buddy Hazel and
Ron Huckabee officiating. Burial was in Judson Cemetery under the
direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Gafford was born March 9, 1930, in Cayuga to the late Bula Chilcoat and
William Levi Gafford and died Sept. 13, 2007.
He married Frances Gafford Jan. 9, 1962, in Seagoville.
He was a gas plant mechanic for Lone Star Gas and was a member and
Deacon at Parkview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son Chris and wife Tina Gafford, Cross Roads;
sisters Bonnie Jean Gafford, Gladewater; Maxine Stein, Gladewater; and
Ruthie Berry, Athens; brothers Troy and wife Lois Gafford, Belle Chase;
Lee Roy and wife Mary Ann Gafford, Dallas; and Donald and wife Sue
Gafford, Kemp; grandchildren Melissa, Justin, Jessica, Brianna; and
great-grandchild Kadin Leath.
Pallbearers were Mike Collard, Tyler Hendrickson, Cecil Sims, Culley
Rogers, Matt Robertson and Butch Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers were J.B. Newland, Kenneth Boyd, Luis Duran,
Raymond Ysaga and the Parkview Baptist Church family.
