Naomi Graves
Services for Naomi Jean “Jeanie” Graves, 71, were held Sept.16, 2011, at
Providence Baptist Church in Tool.
Graves was born Oct. 29, 1939 in Hudson, Colo. to Florence and Wayne Redding
and died Sept. 11, 2011, following a tragic accident while on vacation in
Mexico.
She touched everyone’s life through her kindness, loving ways, sense of
humor and keen ability to make new friends.
Graves always loved fun in the sun since she was a little girl, either
playing outside flying across the lake in a boat or enjoying life with
friends and family.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Graves graduated from West High School in 1957 in Denver, Colo.
She married Irvin Leonard Graves Aug. 9, 1980 in Denver where they joined
their two families that would encompass seven children.
The couple enjoyed 31 wonderful years together.
Their life was filled with many travels from Colorado to Oklahoma, to
Arkansas to Texas, and Jeanie’s favorite city Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stanley Redding and
daughter Pamela Masters.
Survivors include her husband, Irvin Graves, Tool; children Rick Hanstrom
and wife Barbara, Denver, Colo.; Scott Hanstrom, Dallas; Sammy Hanstrom and
wife Michelle, Denver, Colo.; Shannon Taylor and husband Brent, Hot Springs,
Ark.; Derrick Graves and wife Nikki, Edmond, Okla.; Kerry Graves and wife
Debbie, Edmond, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Virgie Tallent
Services for Virgie Mae Tallent, 69, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24
at the Moorhead Epps Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Morgan
officiating.
Tallent was born Aug. 23, 1942, in Levelland to Rachael Cannon and Edward
Cates and died Sept. 13, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son James Tallent and brother
Gerald Cates.
Survivors include her husband, Garlon Tallent; children Debbie Cates, Linda
Massingill, Lenita Tallent, Garlon Tallent Jr. and wife Kelli; brothers
Bobby Cates and wife Joyce, Charles Cates and wife Lydia; sisters Shirley
Duckett and husband Gene; Louella Sanderson, Hazel Kizer and husband Bill,
Lenita Wolf; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, family members and
many friends.
