Millie Brewer
Services for Millie Brewer, 83, Kemp, were held Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at
Anderson Clayton Chapel in Kemp. Interment followed at Pyle Prairie Cemetery
in Kemp.
Brewer was born March 7, 1928 in Elmer, Okla., to Mamie Ada Bean and William
Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Billy Tom Brewer.
Survivors include children, Deborah Brewer, Johnny Brewer and Connie and
Mike Taylor, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandson.
Glenda Kennedy
Services for Glenda Kennedy, 53, Malakoff, were held Sept. 19, 2011 at the
Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank. Interment was at the Payne Springs
Cemetery in Payne Springs.
Kennedy was born Oct. 13, 1957 and died Sept. 16, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Gladys Holt, six uncles, one
aunt and one cousin.
She is survived by a large and loving family that includes her son, Justin
Nail of Malakoff, grandson, David Nail; mother, Dewinca Cain and husband
Paul Dean Cain; father Alvis Kennedy; brother Ricky Kennedy and wife
Barbara; brother Glyn Kennedy; uncle Doyle Holt and wife Diane; uncle Wade
Kennedy and wife Wanda; aunt Eula Mae Plummer; aunt Yvonne Hinsley; 35 first
cousins and many friends.
She worked as an administrative assistant and customer support
representative for Xerox Corporation for many years before beginning
employment in the East Texas area.
Glenda was known as a fun-loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
Her bright eyes and gentle spirit filled many family functions with love and
laughter.
In recent years, she found her greatest delight in fulfilling the role of
“Granny” to her grandson, David. She will be deeply missed by family and
loving friends.
Pallbearers were Kelly Holt, Kevin Holt, Kyle Holt, Chance Holt, Tracy Holt,
Tim Holt, and Wesley Holt.

Glenda Maynard
Glenda Kay (Ollie) Maynard, 46, of Seven Points, died Sept. 12, 2011, at
Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Maynard was born Nov. 13, 1964, in Brownfield to Wilma and Archie Maynard.
Maynard was a proud P.O. to Cossack Guido of the Cossack Motorcycle Club,
Cedar Creek Lake chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Brittani Burney, Brownfield; son Trevor
Burney, Brownfield; grandson Dakota French; twin sister Brenda Minyard and
husband Scott, Brownfield; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and
nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her sisters in the
Cossack Motorcycle Club.
