Val Kilgore
Services for Val Paul Kilgore, 71, Kemp, were held Oct. 27, 2011, at DeBerry
Funeral Directors Chapel in Denton with Maxwell Young officiating. Burial
followed at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Kilgore was born Dec. 21, 1939, in O’Donnel and died Oct. 24, 2011, in
Denton.
He proudly served in the U. S. Army for 21 years, and in 1982 he and his
wife, Patricia, moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area.
For 25 years, they owned and operated “Kilgore Campers” business in Kemp
until they retired and moved to Denton in 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kilgore, Denton; daughters, Katherine
Bautista, Denton and Valerie Montgomery, Decatur; mother Burnice Kilgore;
brothers Jimmy and Danny Kilgore; sisters, Casandra Krugman and Christine
Thompson; grandchildren, Carmen and Joey Bautista, Denton and Alex, Zoe and
Haley Montgomery, Decatur; many other loving relatives and friends.
