Mabank Nips Crandall, 30-23
CRANDALL–The Mabank Panthers secured a playoff berth in dramatic fashion Friday when senior running back Chris Recio scored with 37 seconds left in the game to defeat the hosting Crandall Pirates 30-23.
Mabank improved to 5-4 on the season and 3-1 in District 13-3A play, while Crandall fell to 4-5 and 3-1. Mabank will host Kemp in their annual grudge match for the season finale next Friday, while Crandall faces Kaufman.

Kaufman Holds Off Eustace Comeback Bid, 25-13
EUSTACE–The visiting Kaufman Lions defeated the Eustace Bulldogs, 25-13, Friday night to spoil Eustace’s Senior Night.
The Bulldogs are now 0-4 in District 13-3A play and 1-8 for the season. Kaufman is undefeated in district and 5-4 overall.
The ’Dogs will travel to Ferris next Friday to face the Yellowjackets in the season finale.

Ferris Stings Kemp in Battle of Yellowjackets
KEMP–Kemp’s failed onside kick to start Friday night’s game set the tone for the error-prone Yellowjackets as they felt the wrath of the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets, 37-8.
Friday’s loss dropped Kemp to 1-8 on the season and 1-3 in District 13-3A play, eliminating them from the playoffs, while Ferris improved to 2-7 and 1-3 in district.
