Weldon January
Graveside services for Weldon January, 69, Eustace, were held Dec. 10, 2010, at the Payne
Cemetery in Eustace with Elder Troy Allen officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar
Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
January was born April 4, 1941, in Eustace and died Dec. 9, 2010, in Eustace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Keith January, daughter Sherree January and
grandmother Nevie Ma January.
Survivors include his wife, Sue January; daughters Shelia January, Eustace, and Twana
Walker and husband Michael, Mabank; son, Lanee January; grandchildren Michael, Shea,
Heather, Jordan, Zachary, Ashley and Max; great-grandchildren Hayden and husband Joel,
Dylan and Elia; brothers James, Tom and Davis January; sister Shelby Hardy; nieces,
nephews, other family members and many friends.
Pallbearers were Robbie Bradley, Joel Seay, Kenneth Ashton, Ruben Rodriquez, Zachery
Rodriquez, Michael Walker, Ralph Brewer and Jordon Brewer.Gwen
Klepfer
Services for Gwen Klepfer, 69, were held at the Lakeview Assembly of God Church in Seven
Points, the Rev. Don Bell officiating with interment Thursday (today), Dec. 16, 2010, in
the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Okla., under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
Klepfer was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Enid, Okla., and died Dec. 12, 2010, in Dallas.
She enjoyed running her bridal shop and enjoyed her needlework, quilting, playing piano
and singing in her church, the Lakeview Assembly of God Church in Seven Points.
She attended the John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, and the Hermann Nursing
School in Houston, where she received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Survivors include her husband Don Klepfer, Mabank; sons Don Klepfer Jr. and wife Diane,
College Station; and Chris Whipple and wife Jan, Arcadia, Okla.; daughters Connie
Nieberlein and husband Mark, Dallas; and Michelle Deck and husband Bill, Branson, Mo.;
eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Thelma Lewis
Services for Thelma Odelia Lewis, 83, were held Dec. 11, 2010, at the Anderson Clayton
Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Park in
Seagoville.
Lewis was born April 29, 1927, in Dallas to May Bell Ross and John Henry Pace and died
Dec. 8, 2010, in Sunnyvale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lewis.
She cherished her role as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Marcus Lewis, Wills Point; Cecil Lewis, Abilene; Gary Lewis,
Wills Point; and Dale Lewis, Kemp; brothers Cullen and Hoyt Jordan; 10 grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends.
Claude Floyd
Graveside services for Claude Wesley PaPaw Floyd, 77, Malakoff, were held Dec.
13, 2010, at the Payne Springs Cemetery with Mike Davis officiating under the direction of
Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Floyd was born June 5, 1933, in Sweetwater to Lois Mildred Justiss and George Olen Floyd
and died Dec. 5, 2010, in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patsy Loretta Avant Floyd, brothers Frank
and David Roland Floyd, granddaughter Shannon Moore and great-great-grandchild Jasmine
Wolfe.
He was a cabinet maker.
Survivors include his daughters, Cherry Davis and Trula Lammons; brother Roy Floyd; eight
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Aaron Wolfe, Mark Davis, Ricky Davis, Rickey Knighton, Mike Davis Jr.,
and Jack Zambotti.
John Castro
John Castro, 71, Gun Barrel City was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Morley, Colo., to Isabel and
Manuel Castro and died Dec. 9, 2010, in Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Leo, Santos and Raymond Castro.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a material handler for Ballys.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Castro, Gun Barrel City; children Melissa Amos,
Jennifer Castro, Pia McDonald, Bonnie Neal and Steven Ballentine; brother Manuel Castro;
sisters Charlotte Hammun, Lillian Silva, Marie Graham, Delores McDonald and Rosalie
Trujillo; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. |
