Betty Fieszel
Services for Betty Sue Fieszel, 73, a 40 year resident of Eustace, will be
held at a later date.
She was born May 16, 1938, in Hubbard, to Minnie Lee Matthews and Elva J.
Jennings and died Dec. 15, 2011.
Fieszel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend known as
“Me-Me.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister Ina Lou Lillard.
Survivors include her husband, Bobbie Joe Fieszel, of Eustace; daughters
Robin Bridger Carpenter and husband Bill of Eustace, Karen and her husband,
Rick, of Eustace; granddaughters Crystal and Clint Richards of Garland,
Casey Green and Billy Culpepper of Eustace, Cayla and Dereck Bonner of
Mabank and Celsey Bridger of Mabank; great-granddaughters Madison and Macie
Richards of Garland; sister Mildred Brustrom of Hubbard; brother and
sister-in-law Joe Don and Mariann Jennings of Garland; niece Jenny Sanders
and her husband, Eric, of Eden.

Ann Theriot
Services for Ann Denoux Theriot, 92, of Whitehouse were held Dec. 21, 2011,
at Prince of Peace Church in Whitehouse with Father Ariel Cortes and Msgr.
John Brennan officiating.
Interment followed at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetary in Malakoff, with Father
Dan Daugherty officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in
Tyler.
Theriot was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Brusly McCall, La., to Lucy Dugas and
Sabin Denoux and died Dec. 18, 2011, in Whitehouse.
Theriot moved to Whitehouse in 2006 from Metairie, La., with her husband of
64 years, Lloyd Joseph Allen Theriot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Armide Falcon and Agnes
Berot, brothers Howard Denoux, Sr., Noel Denoux Sr., Sabin Denoux Jr. and J.
Lee Denoux.
Survivors include daughters Loylyn Miles of Whitehouse, Teresa Marilyn Laing
and husband, David, Gun Barrel City and Teddi Sparks and husband Steve,
Theriot, La.; grandchildren Kristin Miles, Larry Miles, Keith Laing,
Stephanie Lafranca, Kary Laing, Timothy Sparks and Aron Laing;
great-grandchildren Bryceson Laing, Cameron Laing, Brett Miles, Caden Laing,
Makenna Sparks, Ryan Miles, Joey Lafranca IV, Sadie Laing, Jacob Lafranca,
Julius Sparks and Adrian Sparks; sisters Zoe Rivet of Donaldsonville, La.,
Lucy Dias, Kenner, La. and Kate Politz, of Cypress.
Pallbearers were Larry Miles, Keith Laing, Kary Laing, Timothy Sparks, Aron
Laing and Joey Lafranca. Honorary pallbearer is Timothy Politz.
Jerry Rich
Service for Jerry Lynn Rich, 69, of Scurry, were held Dec. 17, 2011, at Mt.
Olive Cemetery in Scurry with James Rich officiating.
Jerry Rich was born Jan. 20, 1942, in Dennison, to Daisy and Alvin Whitley
and died Dec. 14, 2011.
She graduated from Grand Prairie High School, was Baptist by faith and
attended Beautiful Acres Missionary Baptist Church.
Rich loved Elvis and traveling with her daughter to Houston and Dallas to
attend his concerts.
She also enjoyed traveling to Washington State and gambling in Las Vegas,
Nev.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Teddy Whitley.
Survivors include her first husband, Don Baker, of Lake Worth; daughter
Donna Baker of Scurry; grandchildren James Rich of Mesquite, Michelle
Whitley of Seven Points; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and
lifelong friends Ava Stone and Alice Roberson.
Jackie Randall
Services for Jackie Walter Randall, 70, of Trinidad, will be held at a later
date.
Randall was born Oct. 14, 1941, in Austin, to Lois Womack LaFrance and Cecil
Randall and died in Malakoff, Dec.17, 2011, after a long battle with cancer.
Randall proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver
by trade.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen Elizabeth Randall,
children Cecil Everett Randall and Jackie Sue Randall and step daughter
Marsha Browning.
Survivors include daughter Ruth Ann Roberson of Engelton; step-sons Steven
Homann and his wife, Nella, of Lufkin, Dennis Homann and his wife, Barbara,
of Palestine, and James Homann and his wife, Diana, of Elkhart; 12
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren;
half-brother Jeffery LaFrance; half-sister Jeanette LaFrance Straton,
step-siblings; Mark LaFrance, Charlie LaFrance, Jimmy LaFrance, Carmin
LaFrance, Margaret Reed, Joyce Brewer, Carolyn LaFrance, Sandy Smith, Gene
LaFrance and Frank LaFrance.

Patricia Buck
Services for Patricia Ann Buck, 67, are being held (today) Dec. 22, 2011, at
2 p.m. at Legionary Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City with Rev. Mike Adalian
officiating.
Buck was born May 5, 1942, in Lewisburg, Pa., to Leroy S. Pick and Marion
Stahl Pick and died Dec. 19, 2011, in Tyler.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Gerald “Jerry” Buck; children
Janet Kershner, Gerald L. Buck and his wife, Patty, Valerie Martin and her
husband, Daniel; grandchildren Matt, Jeremy, Kevin, Brandon, Shelby, Trisha;
great-grandchildren Hunter, Harley, Brody; numerous other family members and
many friends.
Jack E. Tompkins
Services for Jack E. Tompkins, 87, Mabank, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday,
Dec. 23, 2011 at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, with
interment following in the King Cemetery. Family visitation is from noon to
2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service.
Tompkins was born May 30, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio, son of Edward Tompkins, and
died Dec. 15, 2011, in Athens.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946, serving in France,
Germany and Belgium. He earned the American Theatre Ribbon, Victory Metal
for WW II and the Theatre Ribbon with two bronze stars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife of 64 years, Alfreda
Tompkins.
Several nieces and nephews survive him.
