Claudia Hunt
Services for Claudia Ruth Hunt, 90, of Eustace, were held Dec. 15, 2009,
at Moorhead Epps Memorial Chapel in Gun Barrel City, with the Revs. Paul
McKinney and James Howard officiating. Burial was in Moorehead Melton
Cemetery in Eustace.
Hunt was born Oct. 8, 1919, to Odelia Phillips and William Griffith and
died Dec. 12, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Finis and sisters
Dessie, Hazel and Edna.
Survivors include her sons James Hunt and Edward Hunt and wife Ann;
grandchildren Rhonda Williams and husband Larry, Curtis Hunt and Tim
Hunt; great-grandchildren Amanda, Amber, Kayla, Tyson, Timberly, Carly
and Colby; great-grandchildren Quentin and Abigail.
J.L. Carlisle
Services for J.L. Carlisle, 70, Eustace, were held Dec. 18, 2009, at
Cedar Creek Memorial Park with the Rev. Leonard Eason officiating under
the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Carlisle was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Athens and died Dec. 14, 2009 in
Athens.
He had lived in Eustace for 20 years and was Baptist by faith. He was a
veteran.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Carlisle, Eustace; sons Johnny Carlisle,
Mabank; and Jody Carlisle, Odessa; daughters Janet Bryan, Odessa; Ida
Ruckman, Eustace; and Lisa Hall, Midland; brother Thomas Carlisle,
Fairfield; sisters Ella Hutchison, Corsicana; Elizabeth Gore, Fairfield;
and Martha Petty, Mabank; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
