Martha Golden was born Sept. 10, 1927, in Jonesboro, Ark. and passed away March 21, 2006 in Tyler.
She lived in Dallas area since 1960, and at Cedar Creek Lake since 1991.
She is survived by her husband, Taylor W. Golden; sons, David H. Golden and Douglas C. Golden; daughter, Deborah A. Daboub; sister, Kathryn Brown; three grandsons, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Literary Club of Cedar Creek, Cedar Creek County Club, Classic Rod Runners Car Club, Women’s group at Cedar Creek Country Club Estates, 4-C ABLES, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Friends of Boating, Inc. and volunteered at Tri County Library.
Martha loved her church and was the first woman Senior Warden at St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church. She was an avid party bridge player.
Graveside services were held March 24, 2006, at Restland Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church at Cedar Creek Country Club.
Both services were officiated by the Rev. Jerry D. Morriss and Father Ted Nelson.
