Services for Emma Melinda Bledsoe, 47, Mabank, were held March 31, 2006, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James A. McWhorter officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park in Van Zandt County under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Bledsoe was born Oct. 5, 1958, in Yakima, Wash., and died March 27, 2006, in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Gavin William Taylor in 2001.
Previously of Washington, she had lived in Mabank since 1974. She was a florist in the Cedar Creek Lake area and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Bledsoe, Mabank; son, Jason Bledsoe and wife Krysten, Mesquite; daughters, Amy Taylor, Mabank; and Tiffany Lea Doane and husband Christopher, Gun Barrel City; parents, Boogie and Bessie Bennett, Mabank; paternal grandmother, Cecile Taylor, Mabank; brother, Mark Bennett Sr. and wife Suzanne, Kemp; sisters, Sherrie Blaylock and husband Jerry, Mineola; and Ramona Reeves and husband Stuart, Flint; grandchildren, Faith Nicole Taylor and Harmony Jade Taylor.
Pallbearers were Jason Bledsoe, Mark Bennett Jr., Roger Stinson, Chris Doane, Tyler Wise and Scottie Samford Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Reeves, Jeremiah Reeves and Carey Samford.

Robert L. Sims
Services for Robert L. “Bob” Sims, 76, Gun Barrel City, were held March 31, 2006, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Sims was born Aug. 30, 1929, in Rylie and died March 28, 2006, in Gun Barrel City. He was preceded in death by his father, George L. Sims, son, Robert Track Sims and brother, Jack L. Sims.
He was a sheet metal appraiser and a member of the USS Saint Paul Association. Previously of Dallas, he lived in Gun Barrel City since 1968.
Survivors include his wife Laquita Sims, Gun Barrel City; daughters, Terri Reaves, Mabank; and Vicki Shelton, Gun Barrel City; brother, Johnny Sewell, Rockwall; mother, Fannie Sewell, Kemp; grandchildren, Danielle Shelton, Matthew Shelton, Natalie Reaves and Kellie Reaves.
Graveside services for Bobbie Murphy, 76, Kemp, were held March 29, 2006, at the Kemp Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill McMullen officiating. Interment and arrangements were under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp.
Murphy was born Bobbie Raz, July 3, 1929, in Wise Community, the daughter of Edward and Barbara Raz. She died March 27, 2006 in Dallas.
She married Barnie Murphy, and he preceded her in death March 9, 1990.
Murphy is survived by a daughter, Brenda Murphy of Kemp; grandsons, James M. Murphy and wife Carey of Kemp, and Scott Woodard of Kemp; great grandchildren, Kace Murphy and Karleigh Murphy, both of Kemp; sister, Frances Harris of Chandler; brother, Jerry Raz of the Wise Community; and numerous other relatives and friends.
