Bonnie Halpain
Services for Bonnie Jean Halpain were held May 6, 2006, at Beacon Church
of Christ in Gun Barrel City with Ken Maddox officiating under the
direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points. Interment was in
Resthaven Cemetery in Rockwall.
Halpain was born Nov. 29, 1931, and died at her home May 2, 2006. She
was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Lela Wilhite; sisters
Johnnie Mae Trotter and Virginia Blassingame; brothers Frank and Leslie
Wilhite.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years Joe Halpain: daughters Elaine
and husband Larry Scott Reynolds; and Rhonda Jean Halpain; brother
William Wilhite; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brian Burress, Chris Reynolds, Larry Reynolds, Tommy
Halpain, Steve Halpain and Jonathan Powers.
Honorary pallbearer was Price Clark.
Mildred Hall
Services for Mildred Hall, 76, Mabank, were held May 3, 2006, at Baird
Cemetery in Van Zandt County under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek
Funeral Home in Mabank.
Hall was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Mabank and died May 1, 2006, in Athens.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter Kathy Gabel, Atlanta, Ga.; brother Billy
Don Humphries, Greenville; sisters Agnes Gragg, Garland; Joyce Cupp,
Wylie; and Juanita Rollings, Wylie; grandson Michael Hall, Palestine;
great-grandsons Andrew Hall and Ryan Hall, Jacksonville.
Richard Kennedy
Services for Richard “Dick” Kennedy, 76, Kemp, were held May 6, 2006, at
the First United Presbyterian Church in Mabank with the Rev. Ron
Holloman officiating under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral
Home in Mabank.
Kennedy was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Peoria, Ill., and died May 1, 2006,
in Dallas.
He lived in Kemp for the past 16 years and was of the Presbyterian
faith. He was a member of MAGS and tutored at a Mabank Elementary
School.
Survivors include his wife Levera Kennedy, Kemp; sons Richard R.
Kennedy, Wenola, Ill.; Ted Clinton Kennedy, Saginaw; Jim Edward
Holloway, Glendale, Ariz.; and Chuck Ray Holloway, Bedford; daughters
Susan Ann Miller, Dwight, Ill.; Kathy Jo Medders, Holly Lake Ranch; and
Jackie Sue Holloway, Glendale, Ariz. 16 grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren.
Terrie Love
Services for Terrie Nakada Love, 68, Kemp, were held May 6, 2006, in
Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Renfro officiating. Burial
was in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral
Home in Mabank.
Love was born May 10, 1937, in Okawana, Japan and died May 2, 2006, in
Dallas.
She was a seamstress.
Survivors include her sons James Love and wife Shelia, Kemp; and Larry
Love and wife Stephanie, Kemp; one brother, two sisters, nieces and
nephews; grandchildren Candice Love, Huntsville; Colton Love, Kemp; Ryan
Love, Rockwall; ;and Cooper Love, Rockwall.
Pallbearers were Jack Boyd, Steve Simmons, Mike Taylor, Craig Plunk,
James Whiteley and Donald Linder.
Honorary pallbearers were Christopher Hartnett and James “Bubba”
Whiteley.
Bernard G. France
Services for Bernard G. France, 83, Mabank were held May 5, 2006, in
Cedar Creek Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Woods officiating under
the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
France was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Park City, Ky., and died May 2, 2006,
in Athens.
He was a machinist and had lived in Mabank for the past 20 years. He was
of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife Judy France, Mabank; daughters Paula
Buckhannon, Grapevine; and Donna Jackson, Gun Barrel City; grandchildren
Michael Brown, Alicia Buckhannon, Tonya Sharp, Timothy Girard and Dani
Owens; great-grandchildren Julian Medel, Jez Cashion, Jabe Cashion, Carl
Girard, Maribeth Girard and Brayton Owens.
