Joel Dunn
Services for Joel Ernie Dunn, 52, Copeville, were held June 8, 2006, at
the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Brann officiating.
Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek
Funeral Home in Mabank.
Previously of Bonham, Dunn was a resident of Copeville for 20 years and
an ordained minister.
He was a technician and a loving family man who enjoyed watching his
kids play sports.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years Alice Dunn, Copeville; son Cadey
Sturgis Dunn, Copeville; daughter Cortney Michelle (Dunn) Dunn; sisters
Pat Raz and Carolyn Dunn; nieces and nephews, Copeville; other family
members and a host of friends.
Bobbie Culpepper
Services for Bobbie T. Culpepper were held June 9, 2006, at the First
Baptist Church of Tool with Sonny Rhea and Ed Brennan officiating.
Interment was in Mankin Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson
Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Culpepper was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Norphlet, Ark. and died June 6,
2006, in Tyler.
He retired after 28 years in the military, having served in the U.S.
Navy and Air Force Reserve. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post No. 4133.
Survivors include his wife Lou Ella; son Bobby Culpepper; daughter
Barbara Sue and Doyle Kelso; sister-in-law Ruby Culpepper; three
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Tommy Blackmon
A memorial service for Tommy Wayne Blackmon, 46, Kaufman, will be held
at a later date at the Styx Church of Christ, under the direction of
Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kaufman.
Blackmon died June 5, 2006, at his home after a long illness. He was a
native of Kaufman.
He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jean (High) Blackmon and
brothers Glen Blackmon and Michael Blackmon.
Survivors include his father Charles Blackmon, Kaufman; aunts Marie
Ketcham, Quinlan; Audrey Blackmon, Mansfield; and Weva Keck, Houston;
uncle Kenneth Blackmon, Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
