The shelter is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through
Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Volunteers are especially needed in the mornings, starting around 8 a.m.
through the early afernoon.
The Humane Society is a non-profit organization that greatly depends on
its volunteers and their donations (product as well as monetary).
If you are wanting to volunteer at the shelter, even for just a few
hours a week, the shelter looks forward to hearing from you!
If you have community service requirements for school credit, please
consider volunteering at the shelter.
Answering telephones and bathing the animals are just examples of the
activities you might perform.
If you can’t volunteer in person, product donations are always
appreciated. Items that are in need are bleach, laundry soap, kitty
litter, paper towels and trash bags.
Also, if your church or other organization is looking for a community
project with which to become involved, please consider helping the
Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake.
This organization needs your involvement. Finally, several community
businesses have donation boxes at their counter – please look for them
at Subway, The Movie Gallery, Dairy Queen, and other local businesses.
Any spare change goes a long way in helping us help the animals!
If you are considering adding a dog or cat to your family, please visit
the shelter.
Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens are always available for adoption.
Costs for these adoptions are $30 for cats and $40 for dogs.
There are plenty of loving animals waiting for you to take them home!
The Humane Society will be holding an open meeting at 5 p.m. Monday,
June 5, at the Alamo Mexican Restaurant in Gun Barrel City.
Everyone is invited to attend this important meeting.
