Willie Bailey
Graveside services for Willie Ed (Eddie) Bailey, 52, Hallsville, were
held May 30, 2006, at the Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of
Downs Funeral Home of Marshall, with the Rev. David Massey of First
Baptist Church, Hallsville, officiating.
Bailey was born April 15, 1954, in Kaufman to Dee and Era Bailey and
died May 25, 2006, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his
father, Dee Bailey, and grandson, J.J. Canada.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Texas Utilities Plant. He also
served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972-76.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia Poole Bailey, Hallsville; daughters
Jackie Leatherwood, Lake O’ the Pines; Chara Saxton and Chasity Strong,
both of Hallsville; Jennifer Fritz, Cedar Creek Lake; Tracey Pangilinan,
Dallas; and Misty Pratt, Oklahoma; one special son Robert Halldorson,
Hallsville; 10 grandchildren; mother Era Bailey, Mabank; sisters Donna
Hall, Mabank; Lora Humphrey, Minden, La.; Oneta McAfee, Mabank; Drucilla
Lewis, Mabank; and Basha Cox, Athens; brother Richard Bailey, Kemp; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
