YMCA Day Camp registration underway
Special to The Monitor
MABANK–As part of its ongoing concern for the health and
welfare of the youth of the community, the Lake Area YMCA is accepting
registrations for its annual Summer Day Camp program.
YMCA Day Camp is designed for youth whose parents may be working during
the day, leaving the child without any daytime supervision.
YMCA Day Camp is open to children kindergarten through sixth grade. Boys
and girls may register by the week, by the day, or on a space-available
basis.
Registration information may be obtained at the Lake Area YMCA office.
Registration is limited and pre-registration is required.
This year’s camp will include a number of special field trips, such as
an outing to Ameriquest Field in Arlington, which will include a tour of
the ballpark and museum.
During the outing, campers should wear weather-appropriate clothing, and
their lunches, drinks and afternoon snacks will be provided.
Again, space is limited, and the time to sign up is now. Registration
will be accepted at the YMCA office in Mabank’s George Watts Park either
in person or by mail. For more information, contact the office at (903)
713-YMCA (9622).
For further camp information, purchase a Sunday
issue of The Monitor.
